Holly House Day Nursery

Our son started in March this year in Nursery and now attends breakfast club as he has moves to a School Nursery now.
The development he had whilst at Holly House has been brilliant, his confidence levels, his speech, social interaction have all improved dramatically since being at Holly House. It a well run, well organised, well staffed provision with staff that really care about what they do no matter what their job is in the organisation and the children that attend. We would highly recommend this resource to any parent, whether it be nursery, pre or post school clubs or holidays we have used them all and they are all excellent.

Our son started at Holly House just before his 2nd birthday. We had concerns over his speech, listening and play in general. Our worries have been allayed thanks to all at Holly House!
– Play plans helped our play with him, and help him learn how to play and develop his social skills. Communication over the play plans and their importance helped us understand their benefit and assured us of the nursery’s commitment to our boy.
– The introductory period really helped our son settle, and lessened any fears we had as to how he would settle
– Staff in Elms have been brilliant! So understanding of his limitations with speech they have helped him communicate in different wants, while also helping him to improve his speech. Their bond is lovely and it’s heartwarming to see.
– Communication throughout the day, on his eating, sleeping etc, on the portal is fantastic, as are the regular updates from the nursery on what activities the children are doing.

It has been wonderful to see our boy’s development, supported by the nursery. He returns home happy, with lots of stories to tell.

Through discussion with him, we learnt about all the activities undertaken; how proud he has been to gain rewards he has been given for contributions to class; and we have a wall full of the art and craft he has created.

Our interactions with staff have been positive too – we felt included in his care, and listened to on the occasions we have had queries or suggestions.

I’m sure many parents feel the same about their kids, but we see ours as a person who likes to push his own boundaries of knowledge, and is older than his years. We are grateful for the flexibility of the staff in helping him develop in a way specific to himself as an individual, rather than just as a generic child.

I would also like to thank management for their care, flexibility, and ‘on the ground’ kind of interest in our son.

Much recommended nursery.

Absolute terrible nursery. The staff are lazy and leave the little ones in dirty nappies for hours. The manager’s attitude is disgusting. She is really unapproachable. Don’t cross them or they will ring social services on you. This has been done to several parents. Stay clear.

Fantastic creche. The staff are excellent and it is fully evident that they really care about the children they look after. Nothing is too much for them. I can rest assured that my boys are safe and are in capable hands.

My son has attended Holly House Day Nursery from 9 months old and the care he has received throughout the nursery has been outstanding. We as parents are content knowing that our son is cared for as we would be at home. He is stimulated in all areas of development on a daily basis and talks happily about what he has done.

My granddaughter (2 years old) loves her days at Holly House Day Nursery and because her speech has developed so well since being there she can tell us all about what she does, what she eats, play and learning activities etc. Recently she became unwell and the staff were brilliant with her, recognising something wasn’t quite right, escalating it to the appropriate people and reassuring her along the way. She needed a check over by a doctor and he was very impressed with the Staff members account, she had written it all down so Mum and Dad could pass on exactly what happened. Granddaughter is fine and returned to nursery the following day.

Our Son attended Holly House Day Nursery for three years. The staff were wonderful and became our extended family. They were a wonderful support especially as early on my little boy was diagnosed with a cows milk allergy. They were already aware of the milk ladder and were so supportive and introduced delicious home cooked food. All staff are so caring and attentive, this shows as each child runs in each morning ready for more exciting adventures. The nursery has such a homely feel and the owners in particular are very attentive and make sure our children are well provided for in a safe clean environment. The staff go above and beyond. They recognise how difficult it can be especially as a working mum. They work hard to make memories and involve us as parents too. I can never thank you all enough for helping my little boy grow. We will miss you all! Thanks

Our son joined the babies room in October 2022 and despite our concerns that he may find settling in tricky, the team have been so supportive and kind. The while settling-in process went smoothly and the team have really gotten to know our child – he is delighted to see them each morning at drop-off. Utmost care has been taken regarding catering for his allergies – we have no concerns to this end. As our first experience of a childcare setting, we are very impressed

My daughter goes to Holly House for over seven years. It’s a great place, staff are lovely and very helpful and she absolutely loves it. She will be sad to leave by the end. Facilities are great, the preschool have day trips etc. Highly recommended.

Holly House Day Nursery is an incredible nursery. Due to a couple of house moves this is the third nursery I have had experience with. All have been great but Holly House really stands out. The staff are what makes the place but the facilities and general day to day running of the nursery are brilliant as well.

My daughter has been with Holly House Day Nursery since she was 9 months old. Holly House really put me at ease as she is my first child and leaving her was hard for me. They put me at ease and the app they have is amazing to keep me updated on how my daughter is doing. The staff are just amazing nothing is a problem and all the staff are easy to talk to and so lovely. I would highly recommend Holly House to anyone. Honestly, my husband and I are so happy with Holly House. Our daughter loves going and always smiles when we tell her she is going to nursery today. Holly House Day Nursery is the best they are so caring thoughtful and loving towards the children. The staff are a delight and a credit to the team at Holly House Day Nursery. Some of the girls who were there for my son thirteen years ago are still there and that just shows what a great place it is.

Holly House is the most incredible, supportive and professional nursery. Every member of staff is a credit to the team, they go above and beyond. I have two children that attend full-time, they are provided with the utmost care on a daily basis including a balanced nutritious diet. I can honestly say that once dropping them off I can be 100% confident that they both are going to have a super day. The app they use for communication is great, I love getting photos throughout the day. The management team are always there to answer my questions and queries- nothing is ever too much! My daughter has been attending Holly House Day Nursery since January 2023 and I could not be happier with the level of care and professionalism. The staff in the baby and wobbler room have been amazing! They are so good with my daughter, supporting me with sleep training and persisting with nap times. She goes in happy every day without a problem and I’m sure she doesn’t want to leave. She has really come on in leaps and bounds and I definitely believe that the staff at Holly House are contributing to her development and wellbeing. She loves being outside and all the messy activities that I’m not brave enough to do at home. I love the app and get regular updates and pictures on what she’s up to during the day, a record of sleep times, meals, nappy changes etc. I could not recommend Holly House enough. My daughter is really blossoming being there.

Couldn’t speak more highly of the Holly House staff. My little girl has recently transitioned rooms and the staff were so reassuring and made the transition smooth for her. They always provide regular updates and photos that help to put my mind at ease, knowing my little girl is being well looked after and enjoying lots of fun activities!
