Sunbeams Nursery

Brilliant nursery and brilliant staff. The staff always take the time to keep you informed of how your child is getting on. Always healthy meals and since the refurbishment the nursery is looking awesome.

My daughter started here in March this year, I was so worried as she has been with me everyday until she was two and a half. All members of staff were so welcoming to both of us. My daughter has settled in full time now and absolutely loves it! She tells me every day what she has been up to and always talks about the girls who take care of her, especially one member of staff. It’s so nice to know she is part of such a friendly environment where she is clearly being stimulated constantly as her speech and development has come on so much in such a short space of time. I cannot thank the staff enough for everything they do for her to make her happy. Seeing her go in with a smile on her face every morning, clearly shows she is so comfortable which in turn leaves me feeling comfortable too. Thank you so much guys, what a fantastic team you are!

My granddaughter has been coming to this nursery as a baby and I’ve been collecting her on a regular basis. Since she has been able to talk she has always told me about the fun things she has done during the day. The nursery provides exciting activities for the children but you know there’s an element of learning built in. I’m in no doubt that my granddaughter is more advanced in her learning due to the years she has spent at nursery. She speaks fondly of all the staff and other children and looks forward to going each day. When she starts school later this year she is really going to miss coming here along with the staff and friends she has made.

Our little boy has been attending Sunbeams Day Nursery for just over a year now, and they’ve been amazing. When initially started, he had difficulty talking; within a few months and lots of effort, they had him talking! Whilst being there, he’s been going through dairy-free diets, and they’ve tailored to every need he’s had. They’ve supported us as parents and have continued to bring out the best in him. He’s grown, developed and blossomed, and it’s all thanks to the girls. His key worker has the most amazing bond with him, and he loves to come into the nursery to see her. The other girls are also so loving with him. He’s made the best friends there, and they really are all like a family! I trust them with him, and we would be lost without them.

Our child has been attending for a while. We were initially extremely happy with the nursery, and the staff in the room were fantastic. Although the care has remained excellent quality, the food has gone from curries, paella, chow mein etc to ham and cheese wraps, ham and cheese sandwiches and very bland repetitive food. That being said, the staff are phenomenal and go above and beyond what we would ever expect. The only other thing I would say if I was being picky is we used to love the daily updates and pictures we would receive on the app, but now they seem to be few and far between. Overall, we would highly recommend Sunbeams, and we are eternally grateful to the staff for all the work and effort they continue to put in with our child.

I’m really happy with my little boy’s nursery. Since he’s started, I’ve noticed a change in him; already he’s trying to walk now. He’s learning more things every time he goes. He loves the staff, and I always feel comfortable when I pick him up!

My child started at Sunbeams last August when he was 11 months, and due to the lockdown, he was very attached to myself, so I was very nervous about choosing the right nursery for him. When we went to go look around Sunbeams, I could instantly tell how well the children were cared for. Also, the baby room is also the whole of the top floor comprising of a physical room, a calm room and an activity room, which I also loved. He did a couple of settling-in visits, and by the end of his first week, there were no tears. He attends mornings only, and while I’m at work, I will often get 2-3 updates/observations via the app updating me about all the exciting things he has been learning that day. You also get a sheet at the end of each session, which states how many nappy changes, how much he has eaten and what he’s been doing that morning. He is about to start in the toddler room soon, and I can’t thank the staff enough in the baby room for all they have done for him.

This nursery has been a home-from-home safe place for all three of my grandchildren.
They have grown, nourished and thrived in this place through the commitment and hard work of the staff.
Management and staff always go above and beyond, and we have 100% trust in their structure and ethics.

My little girl has been going here since March, and she has come on leaps and bounds with her manners, sharing, eating and her talking. She’s constantly singing her nursery songs and is so excited to go to nursery now. They have an amazing team who are so caring and always has smiles on their faces. I 10000% recommended Sunbeams Nursery!

My son attended this ‘nursery’ for 6 months. They didn’t pick up his autism, they left him playing on his own, not knowing where he was on more than one occasion at pick up. They shared confidential health information with my son’s grandparents, which although they knew about, the ‘nursery’ doesn’t know this.
The manager is totally unprofessional and argued with me over email and then told my next-door neighbour confidential information about me and my son.
I’ve since spoken to parents at my son’s school who had similar issues!

Such a lovely nursery. The staff are so kind and helpful. I am so happy with the support and care my son is receiving at the nursery. I am happy with his development; so far, so good. He is showing a lot more confidence.

Our little boy has attended Sunbeams Nursery since he was 11 months old. The staff are lovely and we have never had any issues or concerns. The meals are nutritious and varied and the activities are fun and educational. Our son has learnt so much in his time at Sunbeams and I have no doubt he will be well prepared for school next year.

We’re very happy with Sunbeams Nursery. Everyone is super helpful and friendly. My son loves going to this nursery. They keep the kids busy with creative activities every day, paying attention to each individual child’s interests and needs. The food served to the kids is fresh and healthy.

The staff at Sunbeams are amazing with my little girl. She has been there since she was seven months old, and they have helped her through every transition and have always provided me with information when needed. She always tells me she has had a good day.
The only thing that concerns me is the food hygiene rating of three – I would have expected it to be higher than an otherwise good nursery.

My little boy has been going to Sunbeams Nursery since he was ten months old, he’s now three years old, and he has loved every minute. As soon as I drop him off, he runs in with a smile to meet up with his little friends. He has made such good bonds with the staff, and they go above and beyond with the care of my little boy. He has strived at all levels of his development and loves learning through play. They have such good resources, including a garden, soft play and also nursery guinea pigs. I cant recommend the nursery enough.

Our 2-year-old has been attending Sunbeams since she was nine months old. She has loved it since day one, and the staff in Peach Patch have helped her grow in confidence and ability, and the genuine care and affection they have for the children in their care radiates from them. She recently joined Plum Patch, and we have been amazed at the way her communication skills have blossomed in the short time she’s been there. We will always recommend Sunbeams to anyone looking for a nursery in Shipley, and we’ve always been 1000% happy with them.

I currently have my 2nd child in nursery, after sending my daughter to Sunbeams a few years back, I knew I would send my son. My daughter absolutely loved it here, and all the staff brought her out of her shell and were just so amazing. Daily updates and helps each child individually. My son has just started and goes straight in and loves it. Would recommend Sunbeams to anyone. They are the most lovely people you could meet and will go above and beyond for your children!

We could not be happier with our experience of this nursery. Our daughter loves going to nursery; she has grown in confidence and is more than ready to start school in September. She’s been well supported by not only her key workers but all the staff. Every morning we are greeted with a big welcoming smile from the staff, and I never worry about her being happy and looked after, even on days she might be a little off. The communication from the staff is brilliant and always positive; they are flexible and understanding too. My favourite thing about the nursery is the amount of effort that goes into making sure the children have different experiences, for example, exploring different cultures, trips to the park, road safety, visiting the library, swimming and football; they are always doing something new and exciting.

We did some research and chose Sunbeams Nursery school for our daughter, we thought it would be a welcoming place both for her and for us parents, but that’s not what happened. We followed all the guidelines for settling, but after one week of following all the guidelines stipulated by the nursery we were informed that my daughter was not ready, and they rejected her. My 2-year-old daughter was rejected from daycare for crying a lot and not interacting with other children. They said she wasn’t ready yet. It was suggested that we put her in activities, but she already does 3 different activities a week. So they told us to wait a few months and try settling again. We were devastated. In the same week, we started settling into another daycare centre and on the third day she was no longer crying. I don’t know what could have happened at Sunbeams because parents don’t have access to the classroom but today I’m sure the problem wasn’t my daughter.
