September 4, 2024 at 10:17 pmIt’s very nerve racking going back to work after a year off on maternity leave and having to leave your baby in a childcare centre but honestly from the moment my little girl started we’ve felt she’s secure and cheerful, that’s all we could wish for. I sense like her key worker and team know her so well. She had come on so much since starting. We adore the updates what she’s been doing whilst she’s been at childcare centre and seeing photos of her. They consistently update sleeps, food and nappy changes on the day as well. Overall, we couldn’t suggest this childcare centre enough. We absolutely couldn’t fault the childcare centre and all the team.

September 16, 2024 at 11:35 pmteam approachable and management are very supportive. Even during the pandemic assistance was given. Very spotless and well maintained for the kids. My kid has enjoyed going to the childcare centre, bonded well with the key workers.
Keep it up. Very great childcare centre.

September 23, 2024 at 3:10 pmThe team are experienced, and the team turnover appears to be low, so the kids receive consistent care. The fees are expensive, but the level of service is high. They have never lost my daughter’s belongings and do lots of activities. They even send activity bags home so there is a crossover with the discovering and books they cover at childcare centre. Both my daughters also like the food, and they get 3 meals a day and are stuffed when they get home. The baby room team are very attentive and form a real bond with the kids in my journey. In the baby room, my daughter is changed regularly and never comes home sores, which sounds obvious, but has not been my journey at other nurseries. Out of 3 nurseries, my oldest daughter has attended, Barrow Bright Horizons is the best.

November 25, 2024 at 12:46 amconsistently met with a smile when dropping off and ask how my daughter is that day and information passed over clearly on collection. playtime and discovering at home bags are a lovely touch to take home which we have enjoyed doing together. My daughter settled in from day one with no problems and has consistently enjoyed going in to childcare centre, which is reassuring. welcoming, welcoming team who put the care of the kids at the centre of all they do.

December 15, 2024 at 11:11 pmThey provided unconditional assistance for my SEN kid over 3.5 years and for myself as a parent. They organised ECHP and referrals across the years for things such as physio and occupational therapy. They ensured he was included with his peers in everything they did. You sense like you are leaving your kid with family! incredible childcare centre, could not suggest it more!

January 20, 2025 at 1:05 amThe manager and deputy consistently have their door open and I sense I can go and speak to them about any aspect of the childcare centre!
Thank you to all the girls at Bright Horizons you make my little one so cheerful which in return makes me a cheerful mummy!! The best childcare centre around no job is too big or small and the team do there utmost to keep every kid secure and cheerful!
My little one loves going to childcare centre and consistently talks about his educators at home which is so reassuring as I know he’s cheerful!

February 7, 2025 at 7:33 amThere were occasions where I called the childcare centre to check on my kid if he had been a bit upset when I left and they consistently ensured that they have the time to put my worries at ease. The thing that matters the most is that my son enjoyed being at childcare centre, he has made some excellent friends with both the other kids and the team. In terms of development, I couldn’t be happier my son is now ready to start school in September . I would like to thank all of the team at Bright Horizons for attentive for my son and supporting us with his development from a tiny baby to a welcoming, cheerful, bright little boy. My son attended this childcare centre from 6 months to 4 years old and I could not suggest it enough, each room caters for the correct age group and the team are all approachable and clearly care for all of the kids who attend.

February 13, 2025 at 10:22 pmI honestly cannot praise the childcare centre enough, I dread the day he has to leave to start school. His needs are met and catered to and the feedback we receive on how his day has been is fantastic. I can actually relax when he’s in childcare centre knowing that first of all not only is he secure but he’s actually enjoying his time there.
We have never met a member of team that doesn’t appear to be loving their job and being around the kids. They’re all fantastic, it says it all in the low team turnover Our little boy has a EHCP in place which the childcare centre has been so supportive and supportive from the start with his additional needs and getting the EHCP set up.

March 1, 2025 at 10:19 amOur son started here in June 2021 and given that he was born in lockdown, and had spent the majority of his life in lockdown with minimal interactions with anybody outside of our “bubble”, we were anxious at how he would settle. Well, we needn’t have worried, the team have been remarkable, consistently greeting our son by his name with a smile on their face and in a welcoming manner. Nothing ever seems too much trouble for any member of team. Having previously had a very poor journey at another childcare centre with our other kid, we were apprehensive about using a childcare centre again but from day one, Bright Horizons has provided the best journey for our son, we couldn’t be happier. They have instilled so much self‑assurance in us and we are forever grateful for providing such a great journey, we look forward to our journey together over the next couple of years. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending. I cannot rate this childcare centre highly enough.

March 8, 2025 at 9:34 amAs a ‘lockdown baby’ I was really anxious about how she would be at being left at the setting having had very little contact with other people except for immediate family, but all the team have been so lovely and reassuring and she settles really well. The drop of and collection feels really covid secure, you can see how important everyone’s safety is which is also reassuring. My kid has a dairy allergy and the food that she has for her meals have been exceptional and varied, she is loving it which makes for a cheerful mummy and daddy too knowing she is eating well throughout the day. In her bag at the end of the day, there is a lovely little note that tells us everything we need to know, how she has been, what she has been doing, how she has eaten, slept and nappies (which are provided another bonus that I don’t have to remember those too!) We are very cheerful and most importantly so is our daughter. My daughter has settled amazingly into the childcare centre.

March 13, 2025 at 4:32 amThe team are consistently cheerful to greet the kids, have excellent updates, and adore how they update the app with pictures (it’s nice to see while at work). My kid is very cheerful and feels confident with all her attentive and expert team. My kid is in the Explorers room in Barrow.

March 20, 2025 at 7:31 pmMy son loves his days there and doesn’t look back as he goes through the door in the morning. I am confident that he is receiving the highest standard of care and does a wide variety of activities both educational and enjoyable. Thank you to all the team. A fantastic childcare centre with genuine, attentive team.

April 26, 2025 at 1:00 pmThe team and team are lovely and have cared for my son since he was just over 12 months old.
They’ve made transitions and changes extremely comfortable.
They post regularly on the parent app informing of daily activities.
The mix between structured and free playtime is one of my favoured parts about the childcare centre.
They consistently inform me of any changes in my kid straight away, such as temp rise, etc which is reassuring.
If you are considering sending your kid here, I would highly suggest it. They thoroughly deserve their awards and successful Ofsted report. I can’t suggest Bright Horizons in Barrow enough.

May 4, 2025 at 2:55 pmShe has such a great bond with her key worker and consistently talks about her at home and what activities she has done with her during the day. I am consistently at ease leaving her in their care. My daughter is in preschool at this childcare centre and has attended this childcare centre since she was 10 months old.

May 7, 2025 at 7:15 amMy daughter has been attending since she was 9 months old, she’s now 2 and a half. She loves it here and is consistently full of stories about what she’s been up to. The team are consistently so supportive and seem to build really lovely relationships with the kids. I’ve consistently felt so comfortable and cheerful leaving my daughter here.
Their outside space is excellent and it’s secure, and I adore their focus on independence. We get activities to do together at home for my daughter to take back in and talk about in her class, and the team are consistently keen to hear about what we’ve been up to when she isn’t at childcare centre so they can include it in her discovering. I loved this childcare centre straight away when I looked around.

June 4, 2025 at 4:49 amViewed lots of nurseries in the area and Bright Horizons had the best resources in my view. I adore that they update you throughout the day using the app and when you phone it’s no problem. The first time I left him I cried as soon as I walked out the door. The team saw me and were so supportive and welcoming. My son had his observations and you could tell that they were talking about him and it wasn’t just copied and pasted for each kid. My son had a medical emergency at childcare centre and I was so impressed by how the situation was dealt with, it felt like the team had everything under control and were very calm in the situation. The childcare centre kept in touch while my son was ill and I could tell they were genuinely concerned and they weren’t just doing it to tick a box. Overall, team are consistently cheerful, lively and smiling. My son has a smile on his face when I mention the names of the team at childcare centre, he’s cheerful I’m cheerful! I was so nervous about putting my son into childcare centre.

June 14, 2025 at 6:53 amHe has been at the childcare centre from 10 months old and my daughter prior to this was also at the childcare centre for 4 years before going to school. In the 6 years I have dealt with the childcare centre I have had no issues whatsoever, with nothing but praise for the quality of care my kids have received. The classroom setting is lovely and the team are incredible. A lot of the team have been there throughout the last 6 years and have developed such lovely relationships with both myself and my kids. I could not have asked for a better start for my kids – thank you to everyone at the childcare centre. My second kid is finishing at the childcare centre this summer as he is going to school.

June 18, 2025 at 2:29 pmSupportive in all aspects and I’m very sad for them to leave but they have gained the self‑assurance to start their next step on the education ladder. Thank you all. Both my boys have attended and I cannot fault the team here.
