September 7, 2020 at 12:00 amMy daughter has been at Sunhill since it was taken over, she loves nursery and all the key workers. Since Sunhill has taken over it has been good to see weekly updates on what they have been learning. Communication to the parent regarding changes to staff still needs improving.

September 14, 2020 at 12:00 amMy daughter has had gentle, fun, happily formative years at Sunhill Peckham. She has developed real friendships, not only with some of her peers but also with some of her key carers. She has learned many things, including courtesies and games. She has unknowingly benefitted from one of the more spacious as well as more urban nursery settings around: genuine benefits in my opinion.

October 1, 2020 at 12:00 amWe have been very happy with Sunhill Early Learning. The staff are so friendly and warm and made the transition to starting nursery very easy. Our son talks about them with affection. The space is light and airy and always feels clean – it feels like a good size for the amount of children. The only negative is that there is no garden but the staff compensate for this by taking the children out every day – often to the park for picnics and games. In general there are lots of activities such as painting and water play and we’ve been very pleased with our sons progress and development – particularly language. The food is healthy and varied. In general I highly recommend this nursery.

May 10, 2021 at 12:00 amA fun, friendly and very welcoming nursery, even in current times! They have always kept us informed on daily activities, naps, food etc, and it is reassuring that they keep clear notes on each child’s behaviour, developments and progress.
It’s nice knowing that they also take trips out to the park, as well as have a huge range of toys/playtime/activities inside too.
I really like the flexibility of being able to choose school hours too, and have always had a clear and quick communication with support services as well as the nursery management too.
Our little one runs happily into the nursery, nothing more positive than that!

May 10, 2021 at 12:00 amBoth my children have attended Sunhill Peckham. We’re really happy with the friendly staff and activities that are run there. My youngest loves it and talks about nursery positively. They have consistent and caring staff. The same people who looked after my eldest now look after my youngest, so we really appreciate the continuity of care.

November 29, 2021 at 12:00 amThe staff are always welcoming and easy to talk to. Our son settled in quickly and runs in happily in the mornings. Although they don’t have outdoor space, they take the children out for long trips outside – arguably giving them more room to run around than in a small garden area.
We are always kept well informed of daily activities, and the staff are knowledgeable of the EY curriculum and how to best support children in their development.
One teeny tiny improvement would be if the app was updated slightly more regularly. It would be great to be able to see on the app how much sleep they have at the end of each day, and I love seeing the photos of the lovely activities. However, the staff will always tell you all the information at home time; I just have a memory like a sieve.
Overall, we are so happy with the flexibility of having a term-time only place, and the lovely staff make it such a positive experience.

December 8, 2021 at 12:00 amMy daughter has loved being at Sunhill. What makes it special is the staff who have years of experience and genuine joy and love to help nurture and educate the children. The space inside is small, but the staff always try to get outside to different areas – which I think is more valuable in learning about road safety and exploring nature than having private outdoor space.
The team have moved to update via a parent app, and we love seeing the updates on what the children are getting up to – would love to see more!
Admin and communication to parents have been pretty good – we were immediately welcomed when our childminder had to quit quite suddenly due to the impact of Covid, and Sunhill were very accomodating and reassuring in settling my daughter in.
The curriculum and way of learning are varied, and I particularly like that they take into account the different cultures and hobbies of the children to ensure things are interesting and fun.

December 13, 2021 at 12:00 amBoth my children have attended Sunhill and are very happy there. The staff greet the children with happy smiling faces every morning, and they are so happy to go in every morning. The staff are extremely caring, understanding and loving toward the children. We are enjoying the use of the app and seeing a little more about their days. The only downside for us is there is no outside space on site, but the team do their best to take the children outside every day, and they are creative with their activities.

January 31, 2022 at 12:00 amMy son has attended this nursery since he was one, and we all love it. He skips in, in the mornings, and every day he tells us he has had a great day. The staff are amazing – it really feels like they care about the kids, and they go above and beyond. We were initially unsure because of the lack of outdoor space, but they do take the kids out regularly to local parks or for walks. My son especially loves the trips to the train station and the Chinese supermarket.

April 20, 2022 at 12:00 amThe weekly updates and daily updates are great, plus I feel supported in my child’s development both in pre-school and at home. I’m confident my child will be ready for school because of the amazing support and guidance received by the Sunhill team.

April 20, 2022 at 12:00 amUnclear in regards to payment. I often explained my concern about my son’s meals, but I had no response. My son is happy with the carers and I am satisfied with his learning, honestly. I was upset once I had to pay ten pounds for ten minutes late, even if I collect my son always later than the drop-off time. I lost lots of money every month as there was a misunderstanding at the time of signing the contract.

July 26, 2022 at 12:00 amAn excellent nursery and lovely staff. Our son is 18 months and absolutely loves it; he runs in through the door every morning without looking back! The staff really care and take the time to get to know the child. Would definitely recommend.

July 17, 2023 at 12:00 amVery homely atmosphere for children. My child is now 15 months old, and he learned a lot of skills from the nursery since he started. The staff are lovely and treat the babies like their own. We are very happy we found this nursery; it’s a “home away from home” for our child. Very grateful to all the staff for looking after our child. You are all wonderful; you should all be proud of what you do for the children.

August 5, 2023 at 12:00 amThe staff need better communication within the team, once you tell a staff member important information about your child and request for this to be passed on it never is. They also do not take the afternoon children in the baby room outside for fresh air, one of the staff members told me this herself and I was extremely displeased. When I would ask what my daughter had eaten, I was told that they don’t give the babies food but snacks in the afternoon but when speaking to another staff member, I was told the opposite. Communication is terrible at this nursery and needs to be worked on.
