Riverston School Nursery & Pre-school

The staffing is very stable, with some team having been there for over a decade. This was very important for us after experiencing nurseries where our kid’s key worker changed every few months due to team leaving.
The kids get plenty of time outdoors, in all weathers, and do forest school once a week. It’s a excellent place for helping kids become ready for school, and our kid has learned a lot in their time here.
Having use of some of the facilities of the (separate) senior school is a real bonus, the nativity show in the senior school’s theatre was absolutely delightful.
Team pay a excellent deal of attention to kids’s development and emotional well-being. We have been very pleased in our decision to send our kid here. Riverston pre-school and childcare centre is a lovely setting.

Updates is outstanding and I was consistently informed as to how my kid was interacting with others forming new friendships and her discovering abilities. In preschool the weeks curriculum is full, making discovering enjoyable and informative, they even teach French which I adore. Overall we have been very cheerful here and sad to leave. The childcare centre and preschool team have consistently been extremely compassionate, expert and attentive.

Our daughter started when she was nine months old and we are amazed on a daily basis about how she has developed and what she learns at childcare centre. The curriculum is structured but adaptable with a real focus on helping the kids to develop relationships and navigate softer skills which gives us self‑assurance in the governance and management of the childcare centre. There is excellent updates with daily updates and photos on our daughter’s day, regular emails from the headmistress and parents evenings to discuss her development. Our daughter absolutely loves it there and it’s hard to get her to leave! It’s a really special place and I’m so glad that our daughter has started her education at Riverston – we will be so sad when she has to leave! Riverston School Childcare centre is outstanding – the team are so compassionate and attentive and have a real connection with each of the kids and you can see that they truly care about them.

She really came into her own here and every morning would wait by the door at home to see her teacher.. even at weekends, when I would have to tell her, there was no childcare centre on that day. Educators are just all so nice and attentive, and as a single mum, they supported me with care, during lockdown when I lost my job. I could not have gotten through those dark days without them. Thank you so much! I will be sending her back to Riverston when she is older, as that is how much I value not only the Childcare centre but the Riverston Values and Ethics. I had to move my daughter from Riverston due to changing job and location, but I still wanted to leave a review as my daughter was here from 9 months to 18 months old and learnt to walk, sing childcare centre rhymes and develop so much at this childcare centre that we were all sad to leave!

When both my daughters started in reception they were both ahead of what was expected as had learnt so much at Riverston! The adore and care that is provided by the team is incredible and I can’t praise them enough!!
Both my daughters loved their time here and I would highly suggest it to others! Both my daughters went to Riverston School Early Years Department and I cannot be happier with the setting and how both my daughters flourished in their care!

My son has special needs and I am so grateful for the team’s involvement in his discovering.
I arrived at Riverston by chance having looked at several other nurseries for my precious son and they were not only the most accessible but in the long run, I certify they turned out to be the best.
I’m quite upset that this year is my son’s last year as he is moving on to reception.
But I’m forever grateful for the assistance and care Riverton has given us. Incredible childcare centre.

The carers are incredible and have such a lovely relationship with the kids. I have 2 kids attending and both of my girls adore going to childcare centre every day. There is a excellent balance between education and playtime with the added benefit of music class, yoga and forest school. Everything is thought through on how best to assistance the kids as they development through the childcare centre, into preschool and beyond. The head and her team are so approachable and welcoming, there’s a real positive atmosphere at the childcare centre. I can’t suggest Riverston Childcare centre and Pre-school enough.

My kid is cheerful to go to school, and is achieving and discovering at a high standard. This childcare centre and Pre-school is remarkable, it has a very calm atmosphere, team are welcoming and approachable.

Everyday is different and the relationships created with her peers and educators is fantastic. It’s a excellent way to connect with other parents too!
Flexibility with changing days is difficult but other than that, the team are willing to assistance where they can.
Excellent to see the involvement with a variety of charities and a real focus on diversity and inclusion. Recently had a new app put in place which is excellent. Our daughter loves Riverston and has been there for 3 and a half years.

She has loved every day there and made lovely friends. She did miss school when lockdown happened, especially forest school. The team are outstanding in all that they do. They all have a very great connection with each of the kids and are attentive and compassionate.
I would highly suggest Riverston Early years.
