September 5, 2024 at 5:24 pmThe childcare centre readily makes the term’s topics available for all the parents and the kids are immersed in the topics through activities that seem like playtime but is teaching them all the skills they will need to enter school.
They take excellent care of all the kids both academically and personally. Each one treated as an individual and a personal plan for each of them is created to concentrate on the areas they need more help in.
I cannot fault this childcare centre in the slightest, it has been fantastic to see my kids grow so much under the care of the educators here and to see their relationship between them and the educators is truly fantastic. The educators here are very focused on giving the kids the best possible headstart to their schooling by giving them a huge variety of activities from weekly music lessons, weekly PE and yoga to storytime from the headmaster.

Both our kids adore going to the childcare centre and having enjoyable with their friends. Many thanks to the educators for their dedication and hard work! We are very cheerful to entrust our two kids to the Cumnor House School childcare centre.

October 8, 2024 at 1:57 amThey are not particularly outgoing characters but they were able to settle in very quickly and have been very cheerful ever since, which shows the competence and effort of childcare centre team. Particularly my son’s key worker, who has been particularly instrumental in helping my son to become more confident and social. Even though I slightly disagree with some of the policies and management, these do not overshadow even a bit of the overall outstanding performance of the childcare centre. Both my sons are attending this childcare centre at the moment.

November 21, 2024 at 8:41 pmAs the other site didn’t offer 51 weeks we moved him to South Croydon after 2 terms. The South Croydon site has been refurbished with new facilities and lots of new kit. Our son is cheerful and enjoys his time. We can see excellent social and interactive skills developing. His vocabulary is also improving. There was a lot of team turnover initially with some updates difficulties but it seems to have settled now. We sense the other site offered a personalised touch with our interactions with the key worker that still seem to be lacking at South Croydon. It is surprising to see the difference in the quality of team skills under the same banner. We’d have preferred the childcare centre to open 7.30 to 6.30 like most do as it is a excellent help for working parents. Irrespective of affordability, the childcare centre only offers 15 hours funding and only if your kid attends full 5 days – not 30 hours per entitlement. Overall, the quality of discovering and education / discipline is outstanding. My son started at another site when he was 2.

My daughter is very cheerful in this childcare centre and loves you both. I would suggest this childcare centre. Standards are very high and I adore the way they teach through playtime. Very impressed and cheerful with both the educators.

The facilities are remarkable, as are the opportunities (P.E., Spanish, yoga etc.) given to the kids. We are so cheerful with our son’s journey at Cumnor House childcare centre.

December 22, 2024 at 4:56 pmThe members of team are fantastic and have really gotten to know our little boy. They communicate with us every evening at pick up and tell us everything about his day, what they’ve done, what he has eaten, how much he has slept, his mood and his development.
We cannot believe how much he has come on since joining this childcare centre in September after stalling in his development at another place.
The food offered is varied and my little boys eating has really improved too. The facilities are excellent and the kids spend lots of time outside and even have PE classes.
Wouldn’t hesitate to suggest this childcare centre to anyone! We cannot fault anything about this childcare centre.

The team are very attentive and are able to give specific feedback regarding my son even quoting things he has said. I am extremely cheerful with Cumnor House childcare centre and have enjoyed watching my son grow in self‑assurance. childcare centre team work well at encouraging discovering through playtime, interactive sessions.

It’s a lovely place to be both a pupil and a parent. Our son has been in the childcare centre since last November and we couldn’t be happier.

Here I just want to add more to improve the childcare centre service:
1. Willows class doesn’t have opportunities to go to the garden /outside because their garden is opposite of a road. I don’t think they even have enough time to playtime at the outside platform at the back of the classroom. I do think kids need to go out every day. This can limit the spread of flu cough or cold. I think bungalow has more opportunities to go to the garden because their garden is at the back.
2. I suggest to open the windows in Willows room more often even in winter. The air is not fresh after a day in winter. My kids delight in the childcare centre a lot.

He enjoys singing and doing PE too and feeling like he is at “school”. My son is cheerful at childcare centre and we are cheerful with the variety of skills he is discovering including teaching him to recognise letters, write and teaching him his numbers.

April 15, 2025 at 7:28 amThe childcare centre is outstanding with excellent team, a clear approach to balance more formal discovering with discovering through playtime, and lots of outside space.
The childcare centre has strong links to the boys and girls schools and is excellent value.
We would not hesitate to suggest it. Our son has been at Cumnor House School childcare centre, South Croydon since 2 years of age and will start reception in September.

When I come there is consistently a inviting feeling, all the team are welcoming. team pay attention to his strengths and weaknesses and verbalise them to us and ideas for developing them are implemented, I am consistently well informed and I work together with the childcare centre team to give my son the best possible journey.
All team demonstrates an outstanding attitude and have a exceptional connection with the kids.
I consistently sense comfortable and secure leaving my son.
