He is cheerful, loves the school, loves his educators, is confident, is discovering a lot and loves playing with his friends. He has never once not wanted to go to school. This says/means a lot to his mum and me, and makes it very easy to drop him off every day – with him leaving us with a confident hug and cheeky smile. The simplest and most direct way to describe this childcare centre/pre-school is from the eyes and demeanour of our son.

We were initially concerned with him settling in as he really liked his old childcare centre but we needn’t have worried. As no in-person meetings were permitted due to Covid-19, the team at Little Elms childcare centre (part of Elmhurst School for boys) were very creative in making our son sense connected before he joined. In ways such as setting up a video call and making several video messages. On his first day, they focused on activities and toys that he liked and gave him a super inviting welcome. We were impressed with the approach adopted and the efforts made into helping our son settle in. The first week could not have gone any better, our son was raring to go on drop-off and consistently cheerful on pick-up. Since joining two weeks ago, he has already become more talkative, about what he was doing at Little Elms childcare centre (part of Elmhurst School for boys) and is asking more questions about the world around him. We are very cheerful with the childcare centre and would highly suggest it. Our son just turned three and joined Little Elms childcare centre (part of Elmhurst School for boys) from another childcare centre.

My son started in September 2020 and settled in so quickly. The childcare centre team are extremely supportive and personalise the discovering to the individual kid’s ability and development. Besides the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum, the boys also get an opportunity to learn French, I.C.T and yoga. It’s been an incredible journey at Little Elms childcare centre (part of Elmhurst School for Boys) and I would be cheerful to suggest this childcare centre to other parents. Little Elms childcare centre (part of Elmhurst School for Boys) is a excellent childcare centre and preschool that offers an encouraging and nurturing setting for the boys.

I could not have chosen a better pre-school for my son. The team are inviting and welcoming and show genuine care and passion for the welfare and development of each of the kids. I particularly like the emphasis on teaching the kids to be independent, preparing them for reception, while being attentive to their individual needs and creating a secure space for the expression of their feelings. My son tells me every day how much enjoyable he’s had from playtime on the pirate ship to forest school to yoga. I cannot suggest this school enough! Little Elms is a dream!

Elmhurst prides itself on providing a nurturing and personalised education and I can honestly say they live up to this in abundance. My kid loves going to school and has made so much development in the short time he has been there. The team are so attentive, attentive and mindful of the boys’ experiences, wanting to make them as memorable and enjoyable as possible. From forest school to French to yoga, my kid is being exposed to remarkable opportunities. We are very grateful and would suggest Little Elms to any parent. Our son is cheerful to go to school, lots of individual care. team work tirelessly from early morning to late in the evening, we get emails about homework or work we can do at the weekend, which is really incredible.
Lots of initiatives, forest school, and lots of updates from school which is really appreciated. There is a video channel, and they try to make the most of lockdown with online meetings and get-togethers. Highly recommended. great school, very attentive.

I could not have asked for a better start to his schooling! The Little Elms teacher and her assistance team are an absolute delight – creating an engaging and stimulating setting for the boys to learn in. Each kid is taken as an individual and helped to grow in the most nurturing setting. Anytime I had questions or concerns they were quickly addressed and answered/dealt with. It was incredible to see my son so cheerful and excited to go to Little Elms in the mornings and then having so much to tell me at pick up time.
Thank you for helping my son grow in self‑assurance, independence and make discovering so much enjoyable for him! My son thoroughly enjoyed his time in Little Elms.

All I can say is I am beyond impressed, the growth in his discovering has been incredible, his self‑assurance has skyrocketed and he spends most of the week asking when he can go back to the childcare centre. The educators genuinely care about the kids and it radiates in everything they do. They have taught me ways to deal with my son’s emotions which he sometimes finds overwhelming and the advice has been so valuable to us as a family. I would suggest this childcare centre to anyone wanting high-quality kid care where kids genuinely find discovering enjoyable. A excellent head start before they start school for sure. My son has been attending Little Elms at Elmhurst School for boys for nine months now.

His educators have exceeded our expectations. They are both inviting, welcoming and expert. I appreciate the regular updates, daily development reports and candidness. They are consistently available to answer questions, provide extra assistance and work in partnership with us parents. They tailor the educational journey to the individual boy’s ability and spend one on one time with them daily to ensure the boys reach their full potential. In the short time that our son has been with Little Elms, he has matured and I have seen major improvements with his speech, writing, phonics and manners. In addition, to normal school activities, the boys have Yoga, French, Music and ICT lessons. I am confident that the school are preparing the boys to transition well into reception. Our son, three years old, started childcare centre at Elmhurst School for Boys in January 2021.

I’m very fortunate to have had the childcare centre teacher look after my youngest last year, and not only is she all-round lovely person, but my son has progressed in reading and maths beyond our expectations. On top of that the leadership team under the head of the lower school is consistently there if there are any questions or issues. Thank you Elmhurst! A excellent childcare centre, with a family sense, which has given two of my sons an incredible start.

The Little Elms childcare centre (part of Elmhurst School for Boys) team and the Little Elms childcare centre (part of Elmhurst School for Boys) as a whole provide such a loving and attentive setting for the boys to develop and delight in themselves as they learn. The wide range of activities provided by the school are second to none, including yoga, forest school, I.C.T, French and gardening. During the lockdown, the Little Elms childcare centre (part of Elmhurst School for Boys) team went out of their way to make sure they kept in regular contact with us during the school day and also within their own time. The team are supportive, enthusiastic, enjoyable, nurturing, attentive and put the kids first in every scenario. Our son loves going to school and the activities he takes part in are engaging, enjoyable, creative and active. From baking to forest school to computing to painting in the snow, every day he has a new adventure and comes home with exciting stories to tell and experiences to draw on going forward. The class size is small and he is given lots of individualized attention and feedback. He is excited to be starting to read as well as developing his maths skills and we are so grateful to the team at Little Elms for sparking this adore for discovering at such a young age! We would suggest Little Elms to anyone, in a heartbeat. Little Elms has been a fantastic place for our son to start his school journey and we are so cheerful to have chosen Elmhurst School for Boys.

They have helped my three-and-a-half-year-old son to settle so well and he loves coming to Little Elms every day. His speech and self‑assurance have developed so much since starting only three months ago, which is a testament to how dedicated they and the team are at helping the little one’s development. I would highly suggest Little Elms and I’m so cheerful I moved my son here from his previous childcare centre last October. The Manager and Headmistress are so natural with the boys.

He’s confident when addressing adults and other boys within the school and I think this is, in part, due to the way the school is set up… It is almost as if the whole school is set up for new boys especially the youngest ones. The activities within Little Elms are engaging, enjoyable and informative. He’s cheerful, smiling and talkative as they team within Little Elms give him the time, encouragement and respect to enable his discovering which is tailored for him. There is a range of activities organised for the boys including music, ICT, French and cooking. The latter might be his favourite! He has come home with a breadstick sparkler, pizza face, cheese sandwich. The Digital discovering Journey documents his discovering – there are photographs, videos and text all linked to the EYFS, a excellent system. All team are approachable and updates has been excellent. Little Elms is a super introduction to the education system. My son absolutely loves Little Elms and it’s not just the friends that he’s made.

Being a parent, it’s so heartwarming to see the enthusiasm my son has for discovering purely led by the manager. Her adore and devotion to the boys is phenomenal and irreplaceable.
As a parent of three, I didn’t think anyone could possibly tell me something about kids that I didn’t know but Little Elms has repeatedly surprised me with how well they have been able to extract skills my son has which I am oblivious to. Having used other preschool settings for my kids I can safely say none compare to Little Elms. The one to one relationships and nurturing the boys receive is incredible. The teaching element is introduced in such a way that the boys actually adore discovering, which anyone with sons would agree is a challenge. I could not be happier with the way in which things are run, with the extra peace of mind that no request is too much for them. It truly is beyond anything words can express. Little Elms has been an inspiration and a excellent asset to the school!
