My son has been here since he was 7 months old. He has absolutely loved every day and enjoyed all that this nursery has offered. The girls who work here are superb and absolutely adores them. He has come on in leaps and bounds and those 4 years have gone by too fast.

The food is really good (for vegetarians) and the day to day play and learning here is outstanding. Will definitely be putting our second in here too.

My children were at this nursery for a total of 3 years and I was very disappointed with it. They are charging a premium price for an adequate service, unfortunately, due to the demand in the area they are able to get away with this.

    Key Issues:
    * Failed to take the kids out into the garden (I raised this as an issue several times, addressed initially then reverted back)
    * Pre-school, I personally feel that the teaching within this room was limited.
    * Only additional class – tots sports which is only once every two weeks (again I would expect more for the cost, for example, a language class).
    * Seemed to use internet on the smart screen in the class a lot in pre-school.
    * Lack of parents evenings.
    * Some really good staff, but others were not very good.
    * Although not big issues they are not providing the exceptional service you may expect from the fees which we are charged.

The best thing about this nursery is the staff, they are all fantastic, incredibly caring and genuinely want to help the children and keep them smiling. All members of staff make the effort to get to know the children and parents even if not in their rooms and it’s lovely to see the interactions in the corridors at pick up.
Both my daughters attend and love it, they talk about members of staff all the time, from those in their rooms to those in the office and kitchen. It’s a lovely family environment and you can tell that the staff work very well together.
I have every confidence that my daughters are happy and supported and I don’t need to worry about them during the day.
I would 100% recommend this nursery and its amazing staff.

My son started at Crofton Day Care when he was 9 months old and he is now 22 months. He’s loved going in each morning, greeting the carers, giving them a cuddle and seeing his friends. We have seen such a big change in him – being social, eating independently, and even starting to potty train! All credit to the lovely carers in both the baby and toddler rooms, who engage with the child individually and understand their unique personality. I had to give up his place with a heavy heart as I am off work now, but he looks forward to going back sometime in the future. I would highly recommend this nursery to any parent.

My daughter started her placement at Crofton Nursery about two years ago. She was the first of our three children to go to a nursery, as previously had used childminders, so naturally, we were nervous about the change. However, we were very pleased with the outcome. Initially, the first few weeks were filled with crying and sad faces at drop off, but this very quickly turned into ‘Bye Dad’ and running off into the room with a smiley face. This was only made possible by the fun, comforting and happy environment my daughter found herself in. I was surprised by how quickly the staff built personal relationships with my daughter when they have other children to look after. Her social skills have developed significantly and her confidence is noticeable. Two years on, my daughter now gets upset when I DONT take her to nursery. She is a toddler, so right now, it’s about her being comfortable and happy. Crofton delivers on that perfectly.

We sent our son to Bright Horizons Crofton Day Nursery despite living opposite another local nursery as we absolutely felt on viewing both, that Crofton seemed like a happier, more homely place and that we would be more comfortable leaving our son there, despite a much less convenient location for our commutes. We are so glad that we did – he loves it there and the staff have built really strong relationships with him – he talks about them all the time, despite only attending twice a week. The care that he receives there means that even as someone who tends to worry naturally and as someone who works in education and so knows exactly what can go wrong/be difficult, I am very happy sending him in each day. The ease of all food, nappies, milk (when/if still having formula) etc being provided is also not to be underestimated, we found! Great care, helpful flexibility/support from the office if needed and a sense that the staff genuinely love the kids means we’re really happy with Crofton.

My daughter loves going to nursery at Crofton. She’s formed great bonds with the staff, not just her keyworkers, but all the staff. She chats about them at home and tells me what they like, don’t like and things she is allowed and not allowed to do. She’s also made some great friends at the nursery, in part because it has such a lovely and welcoming atmosphere.
The nursery has been very supportive of me too and gone above and beyond to help during difficult circumstances. It’s a lovely nursery; I’d definitely recommend it.

We have been with the nursery for three years, and we love it! The staff is professional and responsible. We have had mainly the same carers for all the three years – which is great for little children who get very attached to people. All staff take their work seriously and show genuine attachment to the children. Quality of learning, for children of all ages, is brilliant. Extra activities are fun. Food is delicious and healthy. Our child can’t wait for Monday so that he gets to go back to the nursery.

We have sent all three of our children to Crofton Day Nursery, two of them since they were babies. As our youngest prepares to leave the nursery to go on to school later this year, I want to express how much Crofton has meant to us over the years.
The staff and management are wonderful. We were especially impressed by the low turnover, with many members having been there throughout our daughters’ stay. Our children all bonded with all their carers and we always knew that they were all in great hands during their time there. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Crofton Day Nursery and Preschool.

Our son has been at the nursery for eighteen months now and absolutely loves it. He has formed such a special bond with the staff and the other children and is excited to go to nursery in the morning. The staff are amazing and seem to create great activities and games for the children. We have had some lovely cards and pictures home! Would definitely recommend!

We loved this nursery back when our oldest child started there but in the last two years, we feel that the standards (especially communication) are poor. Emails take an age to be responded to and a lot of the time have multiple errors!

My son has been going to Bright Horizons Crofton Day Nursery and Preschool for quite a while now, he loves playing with the other children and he is quite attached to his room leader, his key worker and his second key worker, which makes me feel at ease knowing he feels safe at nursery. He now goes in without crying and I have seen him play in his room with the teachers, other children and he loves it. We didn’t get off to a great start, I had to make a few complaints about regular nappy changes and making sure they were done properly. I also had to mention about parent logins and invoices which were admin queries. Finally, not actually being shown round the nursery fully or properly was another issue but the manager has now fully sorted this and I am more than happy to keep my child there until he is ready for school. Thank you Bright Horizons Crofton Day Nursery and Preschool.

My little boy started in the September after he was 2 for 2 short days a week – this has been great for him and me especially during the pandemic. I am really happy with the nursery and think the staff are all wonderful.

My son has been at Bright Horizons, Crofton Day Nursery, Orpington, for two years and he loves going in every morning. The staff are very friendly and have great children experience. We have been given great feedback regarding eating habits, toilet training and playtimes, what he finds interesting etc. I would definitely recommend Bright Horizons, Crofton Day Nursery, Orpington, to anyone considering a nursery in the area. Overall, we have been very happy and thankful with the nursery team.

Our children love going to Bright Horizons Crofton Day Nursery and Preschool and always come home in bouncy, happy moods. They had a rocky start due to the COVID pandemic, management issues and closure because of storm damage, all of which meant they struggled to settle in. But since then the new management is a massive improvement, staff are great and keyworkers very attentive and proactive, and as a result our children are really thriving. We’ve been impressed with approaches to tricky things like language delay and potty training – they’ve been a huge help in supporting what we’re doing at home.

My twin girls love going to nursery. The staff are lovely and it’s a friendly and welcoming place. The management team are efficient and the communication is good. I have really enjoyed the recent events hosted by the nursery as it’s been great to meet other parents and explore the nursery setting a bit more, particularly post the covid restrictions.

My daughter started going to the preschool in this nursery from January after spending more than 3 years in another Bright Horizons nursery. The staff has been very good to get her settled and overall she is very happy in the new setting with all the carers and the activities she does.

We have been with the nursery for nearly a year and during that time we have had a great experience. The team are always really welcoming and happy to talk about any changes your child is experiencing. There is a lot of attention paid to the activities and routine. We have always been so happy with the way both my son and daughter are cared for at Bright Horizons. The staff are amazing and show great care and affection.

The staff are well qualified and caring towards the wellbeing of children. I feel supported by the staff with things I’m trying to achieve with my pre-schooler, ranging from help with sleep training to expressing and navigating through emotions. I would recommend the preschool to other parents.

We only joined last month as our previous nursery was failing in its duty of care.
We should have chosen this nursery years ago! The manager and staff go above and beyond to make my son feel happy, welcome and settled.
Within a few weeks, he has learned more than in a full year of preschool somewhere else.
Staff are caring, loving and have an eye for detail.
The daily updates, the feedback and the individual time spent per child is remarkable.
With only a month to go before reception, I genuinely wish I’d moved my son here earlier.
Thanks for all you do for us and for all your understanding!
