Chestnut Tree Day Nursery

If you are nervous to get your little one started at a early‑years hub, do yourself and themselves a favour and sign them up in the Chestnut Tree early‑years hub, because the team are absolutely fantastic. My boy started going to Chestnut Tree just after his first birthday. I can see instructors holding and soothing kids on a daily basis so you can be sure that if your little one is upset, they will be physically held by a mentor and soothed. He has friends to playtime with, adores the activities organised in the Tinies room and comes back home truly thrilled on a daily basis. I was exceptionally nervous at first as English is not our first language and he did not walk at the time, but the team has been absolutely incredible. He absolutely treasures the nursery setting and his general motor skills, speech, social skills and understanding of English have developed and/or better significantly.

I hope this will prompt Ofsted to take action to safeguard the youngsters. Since December the childcare centre has been without a manager. However, due to concerns about inadequate care, we switched to using two nurseries in November 2022 because the second nursery setting only had space for two days which never caused any confusion but rather a relief. This high personnel turnover, likely due to the stressful staff-to-children ratio, is a major concern which is not mainly due to the current staffing issues with early years. My boy started attending the early‑years hub in January 2022, four days a week. Following my recent review of Chestnut Tree Day Nursery, this has resulted in the Managing Director, terminating our contract with immediate effect. The council is aware of issues but nothing has changed. The best efforts of the crew will only be to few kids, and a disproportionate staff-to-children ratio prevents them from providing the best possible support for all the little ones.

Our little one has been going to this nursery setting for just under a year, he is in Tinies and goes to 3 days a week and enjoys it. All the personnel at the childcare centre are great, they make an effort to know all the children’s names and parents even those that are not in their classes. Our son’s growth has come on so much in such a short amount of time, thanks to his room leader and all the wonderful crew he interacts with on a daily basis. We get daily updates and photos which really does give you peace of mind.

The amount of activities they do with her is brilliant – she is always bringing home pictures and paintings and knows all of the actions to the childcare centre rhymes. Our young lady started with Chestnut Tree Day Nursery three months ago and she treasures it! Would definitely advocate them. As our first little one, we didn’t know what to expect from a nursery setting but the team have been nothing but welcoming to us and to our baby especially.

She has come a long way already. She has grown extremely close to one of the crew members in particular and I enjoy seeing their bond when I pick her up! She is also a fussy eater but has started to try all different types of food when at childcare centre which is great! My young lady has settled in exceptionally well and adores all the team. We are definitely going to apply for her to go up to the preschool room when she turns 3 as we all cherish it there! They work closely with her and I have noticed she is picking a few things up. She is 2 and a bit delayed and possibly autistic and the early‑years hub has been nothing but accommodating for her. She doesn’t usually playtime with other kids but she has just started to join in with the other little ones in her room.

The crew are a good reflection of the management and the company itself. So delighted my little one is delighted, and I would enthusiastically suggest this nursery setting. My daughter’s key person is lovely and caring, and I can see my girl has a good relationship with her. From the moment I came to view it, I felt the warmth that radiates from this early‑years hub. There are also other team members I see that are always cordial and useful. My young lady has been attending this nursery setting since August 2022 and is in the baby room. I treasure the app, as I can see what she’s up to all day, which is lovely. One member of personnel is great, and you can see how much she cares for the youngsters; she is always there if you have any queries or concerns and will always act on anything you ask for care-wise.

My youngest is thriving, and feel he has become well prepared for primary school admission in September 2021 thanks to the nursery setting and its personnel. My sons first words to me on collecting him at the end of the day are always ‘I had fun!’. As a family, we have been using this early‑years hub for 5-years and have always been truly pleased with the standard of attention and exploring our kids have received. Both my little ones have was enrolled at Chestnut Tree from 9-months and 10-months. One has since left to go to primary school, and my youngest is currently there. We’re so pleased to have sent our youngsters here and can strongly suggest it to anyone considering it for their kids.

I’m so glad I chose Chestnut Tree Day Nursery for my girl, she’s been here now for nearly three months and she has settled down so well, I’m really pleased with her headway, the personnel are brilliant with her.

The crew are what makes this nursery setting a truly fun and thrilled place, the care that is shown is above and beyond what I could have hoped for. The team at Chestnut Tree Day Nursery were fantastic, especially the manager, deputy and baby room team. She had difficulty previously settling with a childminder and I was truly worried about how she would cope. I receive pictures throughout the day showing what she’s doing, and daily knowledgeable updates from the crew. They were so nurturing with her that after a week she was leaning out for them to take her and waving me off. My little one has been attending full time since January when she was 14 months. She adores being at nursery setting and is so excited when she knows that’s where she’s going.

I’m informed about the headway of my little one and I’m exceptionally delighted in general. The nursery setting is an absolute pleasure to take my girl to. Overall, I enjoy leaving my young lady in the fabulous attention of the early‑years hub for the day and she always comes home smiling and delighted and well-fed. The team are just excellent and give a lovely, detailed review of how my daughter’s day has gone. The manager and team always smile and say good morning and goodbye when we leave.
