The West Finchley Day Nursery

I have no worries when I drop my little girl in the morning. They were extremely reassuring during lockdown. The day‑care maintain constant communication with guardians, especially over email, and are extremely easy to speak with in person. All the team have been exceptionally welcoming, and have created a secure and nurturing space. She enjoys the sessions, food and her day‑care teachers. I am amazed by what she learns and how much she is able to tell me about her day. My little girl settled exceptionally quickly, transitioned to the youngster class, and I have seen her progress week by week. She provided a terrific amount of insight into the day‑care’ s ethos and day to day routines. No other visit I had was as reassuring and detailed. The principal was exceptionally warm and welcoming, and spent over an hour showing us around the day‑care. After viewing many nurseries in the area and surrounding areas, I visited The West Finchley Preschool prior to their official opening.

She has a healthy, varied diet at day‑care and she seems to have already built terrific relationships with the team in the baby and youngster room( who are truly terrific.) We sense she is totally secure and she seems truly delighted there. The communication we have experienced with the team has been truly terrific- they constantly update us on our little girl’ s progress throughout the day. We had nothing to worry about. We sent our first kid to West Finchley Preschool so, like many guardians, didn’ t truly know what to expect and were a little nervous about our little girl being cared for by other people and not us.

I strongly suggest. It is a truly warm and supportive space. The team are superb, from managers to the room to the cooks. She’ s consistently occupied and happily walks in every day. My little girl has only had six months in toddlers but has loved every minute. The day‑care has gone from strength to strength and my little boy has developed and grown in an encouraging, secure and positive space. After two years at The West Finchley Day Nursery, we are truly sad to say goodbye.

As a parent, I don’ t think I might truly ask for more. Everyone is consistently welcoming at drop- off and pick- up and the team respond to questions helpfully and attentively. The day‑care is flexible and useful with questions. They often come home with interesting things they’ ve made, like cards, drawings, bath bombs and cakes, and truly enjoy the music lessons, which inspire them to think about the world in completely different ways. They rave about the food, and adore talking about their friends and teachers there. They are so excited to go there for their sessions and absolutely full of enjoyable and stories when they get home. My toddlers are extremely delighted and settled at this day‑care.

Singing and dancing and enjoys being at day‑care. She is consistently delighted and smiling. She was 2. 5 when she started and had only been to day‑care for a week prior to lockdown and so I was nervous but she settled in immediately and loved it from the first day. My little girl has developed so much in the last year. The team are super welcoming. My youngest has been attending here ever since it opened last year, the day‑care have been extremely accommodating over the last year.

We receive regular updates of all the sessions that she enjoys. Our 18 month old absolutely adores her day‑care and it’ s clear the team are attentive and take a lot of interest in her.

We truly had a terrific time and strongly suggest that day‑care. We consistently knew what was going on at the day‑care, we got pictures, reports etc. They took terrific care of our little girl while customising their approach to her needs. The team as well as the facility of West Finchley Nursery is absolutely remarkable.

We have been and remain extremely delighted with West Finchley Pre- school. The fact my little girl talks about wanting to show her key workers things when she is at home is a testament to their strong bond. The quality of food at the day‑care is extremely wonderful and the team work extremely hard. Our little girl has progressed amazingly in her time at the day‑care in speech, physical skills and social skills. As we are both working guardians, we have also truly found the day‑care supportive with tasks like potty training and teaching our little girl to share and take turns. Particular strengths of the day‑care for us have been the nurturing space, attention to reading, new skills like toilet training and outdoor play. She has had outstanding care during this time from all her key workers and built strong relationships with them and other kids. My little girl has been attending West Finchley Pre- school full time ever since she was 16 months old to now nearly 3.

The communication from the team is also outstanding, with regular updates on my kid’ s daily activity, progress and well- being. The sessions on offer are truly varied and engaging, with plenty of opportunities for kids to explore, learn, and have enjoyable. I consistently sense that my kid is in secure, capable hands, and it gives me terrific peace of mind to know that my little one is being cared for by such dedicated professionals. They are warm, patient, and nurturing, and it is clear that they have a genuine passion for working with young kids. The team here are truly exceptional. The day‑care is bright, clean, and well- maintained, with plenty of space for kids to play and learn. From the moment we stepped through the door, we were greeted by welcoming, enthusiastic team who clearly adore what they do. I cannot speak strongly enough of the marvellous care and attention that my 15- month- old receives at The West Finchley Day Nursery.
