Bright Horizons East Barnet Day Nursery and Preschool

This was much appreciated after a long day at work and another thoughtful gesture from members of team. We had our first guardians evening this month which included wine and cheese! We adore how involved the day‑care is with the community and how they encourage the kids to participate with donating food to the local food bank and raising money for charitable causes. Communication between team and guardians is exceptional and any queries are responded to extremely quickly. The sessions are truly well thought out and relevant to things going on in the world, for example international space week using moon, sand and light up pebbles as well as Christmas themed sessions involving tree decorating and sensory play with ice and cornflour with the arctic animals. They have done so much to assistance our little boy and have developed the most marvellous bonds with him, which is so lovely to see. We might not be more grateful for all the team at Bright Horizons, East Barnet.

Overall, ever since the change( which I sense completed an already wonderful but understaffed unit) this is a terrific team that I’ d be delighted to suggest. As with anything, there is consistently room for improvement and I sense that a little more communication on the app would be marvellous, however, it is understandable that this will take time. I will admit I had concerns regarding the educational sessions, but this has all been greatly improved in my opinion and I am delighted with the planned sessions moving forward. I have two kids at the day‑care and while with any change there are going to be teething problems, the team are open to working with us, as the guardians to offer the best and most seamless care possible for the kids. Having had a bumpy ride with the day‑care opening and closing due to staffing difficulties, I am truly pleased with the outcome.

The team are superb and I cannot thank them enough for all their hard work and care for my little girl! I adore the use of the app and all the feedback and pictures sent! This was further planned when we moved back and my little girl absolutely adores being at day‑care! Her transition to another Bright Horizons day‑care, was handled truly well and team moved with her to assistance the transition. Even though the day‑care closed for a few months to recruit substantive team. My little girl has blossomed and developed so much ever since starting at East Barnet, Bright Horizons in March/ April 2021.

Other reviews suggest that new team have been recruited and the day‑care is back up and running, but for us, the lasting impression of a complete lack of consideration for working families and kids means we would not suggest Bright Horizons. Clearly a extremely stressful time for all involved including my little boy. Ultimately this ended with the closure of the day‑care in August 2021 for which we were given less than 1 week’ s notice to find alternative full- time childcare. Things went downhill after that with significant team turnover and quite a bit of disruption for the kids. My little boy started at the day‑care in August 2019- settling in for babies was extensive and we were delighted with the day‑care until spring 2021( in between there was a 6- month gap whilst closed during Covid).

My little one adores attending and talks so much about their day, at home. No task is too big or too small and the management team are consistently so accommodating. We have recently been receiving lots more communication via the day‑care’ s family app and they have also just had a garden refurb. Despite all the recent changes in the day‑care, the team have been nothing but marvellous with us.

He sleeps well here and consistently tells me about the enjoyable he has. He likes the food and adores his teachers. Highly suggest to everyone. My little boy looks forward to coming here. Always sense welcomed and well informed. Absolutely, adore this day‑care, as does my little boy.

My little boy has made lifelong friends and is prepared for school. We adore baking Tuesdays the most! Great level of care and interesting sessions! Moved from a different day‑care and has thrived here. We adore it!

I would strongly suggest this day‑care and the team who work there! During these challenging times and recent refurbishment, the team consistently tried only the best for the kids, coming up with lots of new sessions and the introduction of the family app is a terrific bonus to see what our kids do and eat throughout the day! Our little girl has been there for two and a half years and is extremely delighted at the end of each day and adores to tell us about all the enjoyable they had. Very delighted with East Barnet Nursery!

Appreciated, there have been a few rocky moments over the last year, ultimately out of the control of the team at East Barnet and they’ ve dealt superbly with whatever has been thrown their way and it’ s been clearly demonstrated that they will consistently do their best with the kids’ s best interests at heart. The kids are consistently talking about what they did when they come home and are delighted to go in each morning. It’ s so clear they adore what they do and every week plan a range of remarkable sessions for the kids, teaching them about a variety of topics, engaging their interest and curiosity and keeping it enjoyable at the same time! The team are all superb, so enthusiastic, responsive and build superb connections with the kids. We are beyond delighted with the care they offer. We have been with Bright Horizons, East Barnet, ever since 2019 and have two kids there now.

I would like to give 0 stars on this day‑care! Totally unhelpful and try to avoid their responsibility. Do not send your kid to this day‑care. She consistently tried to explain the matter was not her fault. Her behaviour already made me lose the universal credit which is about£ 3000 pounds because of her carelessness. She just totally ignored me for six months. I was trying to pay the day‑care every month by email and phones. She did not help guardians with payments and ignoring my emails during the lockdown. And the manager is not a attentive person. To the guardians: My kid had been in this day‑care for two years.
