Grasshoppers Day Nursery (St Albans)

Albans Grasshoppers team. Our daughter transferred from playschool around five months ago and we were admittedly nervous that she would be unsettled, but the team at playschool have made the transition so easy and she’s very quickly developed loving relationships with all of them.
We’re grateful to all of the team and, in particular, those who look after our daughter daily in the bumblebees room. They’re remarkable and she consistently has a lot (for a two-year-old) to say about all of them in the evenings. Cannot speak highly enough of the St.

The team are all so fantastic and we loved the excellent variety of activities they do with the kids everyday. We are a same sex couple and we were consistently treated the same as other parents and even got two Mothers days gifts for Mothers day which we thought was a really nice touch. We also found the childcare centre to be very understanding and supportive during the lockdowns and accommodating to us, I kept having to shield and therefore had to keep pulling our daughter out of childcare centre and they team were very supportive of this. We left the childcare centre with a very heavy heart due to moving to a different area but we couldn’t be happier with the childcare centre and the adore and care they gave to our kid. We loved sending our daughter to Grasshoppers Day Childcare centre (St Albans).

Each of them has thrived in this setting. Close friendships have been made; they’ve loved attending; in particular, the renovated garden has been a big hit. Over the years, team have been very accommodating with our needs and we highly suggest them. You’re consistently greeted with a smile, the team are attentive and welcoming, plus, there are significantly clear structures/policies in place including their communications with parents. All 3 of our kids have now attended Grasshoppers; while one recently graduated from pre-school to join her sister at school, the last one has started in the baby room.

The facilities have recently been renovated with brand new discovering equipment installed, while the size of outdoor space was great. We also noticed that all members of team were well‑informed, skilled, patient, compassionate and supportive. The school was really organised and this was very much proven by the way they handled Covid-19 restrictions and lockdown’s. We were really cheerful that our kid consistently found time at school interesting besides the very long hours, with members of team able to fill the daily routine with plenty of activities such as role playing, yoga, music and mandarin language lessons that contributed to his discovering skills. Our kid attended Grasshoppers Day Childcare centre (St Albans) for two and half years and we think this had a very positive impact to his growing up.

They were very supportive for the two years that my daughter was there. She absolutely loved it and made some incredible friends there. We were consistently cheerful about her nutrition, despite having allergies, and consistently felt like she was supported by the team. Her key worker I couldn’t praise more, she really helped my daughter sense at home and was very inviting and welcoming. We were sorry to say goodbye to all the team when she moved on to reception. We started in another childcare centre and made the difficult decision to move her because we weren’t cheerful. So we have seen both sides and were glad to have found grasshoppers. I highly, highly suggest Grasshoppers Day Childcare centre (St Albans).

Settling was made easy thanks to the incredible, attentive team in the Bumblebees room and I cannot thank them enough. They took the time to learn about my kid’s preferences, routines and even some words in Portuguese (our second language) to better understand and communicate with her. They go above and beyond every day and as parents, we sense we couldn’t have chosen a better childcare centre for our kid. The facilities are spacious, spotless, bright and well-maintained. The space outside is huge and there are loads of activities. The curriculum is well-designed, creative, age-appropriate and stimulating – I adore seeing the pictures of my daughter playing and discovering in the app. Also, the team is consistently available to answer my questions and keep me informed about my kid’s development and new learnings. I highly suggest the St Albans Grasshoppers Childcare centre to any parents. Our daughter has been attending the Grasshoppers Day Childcare centre (St Albans) since November 2022 and our journey has been extremely positive.

The team are inviting and welcoming and I sense they take very great care of her. She learns so much and I am consistently impressed with how much the childcare centre does for charity and how engaged I sense as a parent with my kid’s care there. I can’t suggest them enough. We’ve been incredibly cheerful with Grasshoppers since our daughter has been going.

Settling was made easy through the care and journey of the team. Activities offered are wide-ranging and engaging for all ages. Any issues and the team are quick to help. Overall a excellent place for kids to learn and grow. We have had a really positive journey with both kids at Grasshoppers.

It’s excellent to see her going in with a smile on her face in the morning, and seeing her so cheerful and settled when collecting her at the end of the day. The facilities for the kids are exceptional, including lots of opportunities to spend time outdoors in the garden which we know our daughter really enjoys. We have been very impressed with all aspects of the childcare centre’s care and updates, it’s excellent to get regular updates via the app and e-newsletter. The team consistently take the time to tell us about our daughter’s day and answer any questions we may have. Parents are kept informed about the week’s discovering activities and given the chance to get involved with them from home. One of the most important things about the childcare centre, for us, is the very attentive and loving atmosphere that the team have created for the kids. Our daughter has attended Grasshoppers Day Childcare centre since September 2022, beginning in Caterpillars before moving up to Bumblebees, and she absolutely loves it.

They are constantly looking at ways to improve and having just gone in today my daughter noticed the room had been moved around. Activities are well thought out and my daughters enjoyed the visit from the fire engine recently. I would highly suggest this childcare centre. Absolutely remarkable childcare centre, team go above and beyond, updates has been outstanding and we get regular updates on the app, with pictures and discovering stories throughout the week.
