Sunshine Day Nursery

My daughter has attended this nursery everyday since the age of 2 (my daughter is nearly 5) and my son from the age of 6 months (nearly 3 now).
I would recommend this nursery to anyone. Watching my children happily grow with confidence has given me such ease, as a parent we all know hard it is trusting others our children, but I can honestly say I trust each and every member of staff.

All the staff from managers, deputy’s and nursery assistants are very professional as well as friendly and reliable. I always know exactly what my children have done throughout the day, who they have played with and what they have eaten.

This nursery offers so much for children for there interaction and socials skills.
They also have a 2build a profile scheme which is amazing for parents to look at their child’s children’s progress.

My two children attend age 2.5 and 10. The eldest has been coming since she was 3 and the youngest since she was 6 months. They were fully supportive of breast feeding on my return to work which really helped me to continue. Yes, the place is clean, well equipped and they do all the usual activities including messy play, outside time, stories and singing. But for me it’s things like the staff seem to stay (some for the last 7 years), they show great emotional warmth to my children, have the skills to quickly change a tantrummy toddler refusing to let go of mum to one that’s smiling and too busy to care that I’m leaving. They are full of reassurances that she’s happy once I’ve left and encourage calls to check if you are at all worried. They have never made me feel like a silly parent for doing this.

For us it’s like having extended family that want the best for our kids, it’s a wonderful environment that’s very free flowing.

My children love Sunshine Day Nursery. They feel happy and safe there, they undertake a range of activities and are supported and looked after well. They have developed relationships with the staff who run the after school club and really enjoy their time at Sunshine Day Nursery.

As I parent I trust the staff implicitly, I have no doubts or concerns about the safety of my children or the standard of provision.

I would recommend anyone with children to use this nursery. They are very thorough in everything they do with the children.
I have used Sunshine for a number of years with my two eldest children and they came on leaps and bounds with their social aspects and learning.

My daughter has been attending Sunshine Day Nursey from the age of 9 months and continues to attend to date. The difficult task of finding a place of safety, happiness and reassurance is paramount to all parents, which is why I am honest when I say this nursery provides just that.
From her journey of starting the nursery, not only has her personal development in leaps and bounds but her social and interaction skills too. Conversations about her day are her favourite.
The staff working at the nursery are just fantastic, not only do they provide the reassurance you wish for when dropping your child off for the day but also updating you with daily activities and achievement.
The nursery itself is situated in a fairly quiet location with very accessible parking for drop-offs and pick-ups.
There is also a safe, fun and equipped outside area for children to play.
Since being recommended this nursery, 2 years ago, I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending it to family or friends.

Great nursery and all the staff are lovely. They all love their job and are great with all the children. My son has come on loads here and he loves attending. I always feel happy to know that I’m leaving him somewhere and I don’t have to worry. I will also get updates throughout the day from the new family page so I can see what he’s doing each day, knowing he’s getting all his meals. Lunch is home cooked and there is always a verity of food and everyone is always helpful. All in all a great family run business. I would recommend to anyone and I wouldn’t send my children anywhere else.

The nursery is well run and child-friendly. Most importantly, my son is happy when he arrives and happy when he leaves. We have generally been happy with the quality of staff and openness of the owners. There are same day-to-day areas for improvement but the owners and the manager are receptive to feedback and actively address it. My son enjoys the food and the play activity. The staff record any incidents that happen to the children and notify the parents immediately. My son started when he was around 8 months and is still there a year and a half later. We are very happy with the nursery.

Sunshine Day Nursery is a fantastic nursery school, My daughter and I are always greeted with a warm welcome upon arrival and everyone looks so happy, there is always great activities going on when I walk through to my daughters room and the children are always engaged in an activity or play, The staff are always really attentive and supportive with regards my child and its great to see my daughter have a great connection with everyone there. The management are also great with any questions I may have and they seem to have great relationships with their staff, I highly recommend this nursery to anyone.

I couldn’t praise this nursery enough. From my son’s key person to the management team, everyone bent over backwards to make sure not just my son but myself and my husband were always happy. My son was a very anxious child, but I always felt confident leaving him, and with the online journals I could see throughout the day how happy he was by the lovely photos being posted by the staff. I highly recommend this nursery!

I feel that Sunshine Nursery is a fantastic nursery. Both my children have loved attending it. All the staff at welcoming and I feel that my child’s best interests are their focus. The range of activities are fantastic and I feel that the variety of things/activities that are introduced to the children is great. The beach school is great and my son has loved it so far.

Sunshine nursery is a nurturing, friendly and happy place, where both of my children have thrived. The staff bring out the very best in the children and really do care – not just the key workers, but all members of staff including the management.
The children receive a rich and varied range of activities on a daily basis and are provided with a safe and nurturing environment to be able to learn, develop and flourish.

A wonderful nursery which my daughter has loved since she was 9 months. She’s now 3.5 years and is part of the Sunshine family. The staff are great and have a fantastic relationship with all the children. They have a lot of activities throughout the week and different age groups which has truly been enjoyed by my daughter. We will miss Sunshine when my daughter starts primary school but it has been a great place to get her ready for such a big step.

I have had my two daughters at Sunshine Day Nursery for over a year now, and I am very grateful to the team for the exceptional care they have shown my girls. My girls have learned so much, and they have also become more confident and have made great friends themselves. They always look forward to being at nursery, and they are always in a great mood when I pick them up at the end of the day. I feel very at ease and peace whilst working, knowing my girls are in a safe environment and that they will be learning and enjoying at the same time. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone!

Both my children have attended Sunshine Day Nursery. My first is now at school while my little one still attends the nursery. Both my children were happy at the nursery, grew in confidence, developed lovely social skills (Eg manners and empathy) and learned a lot (from counting and biscuit making, to say and nursery rhymes). The staff at the nursery are pleasant and provide daily feedback on how my children did that day. The staff are also supportive with developmental milestones (like potty training) and develop good bonds which the children, which reassured me that my children were happy and content at nursery.

Both my children went to Sunshine Day Nursery and were very happy there. The teachers were great, especially with my daughter who always used to get tearful when we said goodbye. I would definitely recommend the nursery.

Sunshine is our little one’s first nursery. The overall experience is great and my baby enjoyed a lot from day one. Thanks to all the staff and management for taking care of our baby well. I strongly recommend parents to visit this Nursery in the Croydon area and I would like to rate five out of five for this Nursery.

Staff has always been friendly and helpful. My daughter loved going to nursery and enjoyed making friends. She always spoke highly about the staff in her class. They always had many activities to do and she was always happy to bring them home to share it with us. She was always encouraged to write and she’s also picked up most of her phonics just in time for the next stage in school.

Our daughter has attended nursery since she was 9-months-old. Over this time, she has grown to love it and has a bond with all the staff and her classmates. The nursery team have given us regular updates on her progress and have been friendly and approachable. The parking is convenient for pick up and drop-offs, and we have been reassured by the policies they have put in place during the pandemic.

My son has attended Sunshine Day Nursery since he was 10-months and is now leaving to start his school journey. Before deciding on a nursery, I visited Sunshine as well as another nursery that had been assessed by Ofsted as ‘Outstanding’ nearer my home. I chose Sunshine Day Nursery because, on my initial visit, I witnessed staff caring for the young children in their care as if they were their own children. Different parents, will, of course, have different parenting styles and preferences, but what I needed to know when leaving my young child with unknown people, was that they would provide him with the comfort and security to emotionally manage such a significant change. Not only did my son settle into nursery quickly, but I also settled into being back at work quickly because the staff supported us both through the transition. He is now four and a half and still has a great time at nursery. I’m so glad we chose Sunshine. Thank you to all the staff in Snowdrops, Buttercups, Preschool and ‘the office’!

We have used Sunshine Day Nursery since 2014, up until August 2021, and both of my sons have attended. They were both very happy here, with the enthusiastic and hard-working team. I felt completely confident that they were safe, happy, nurtured and getting a good grounding for their education. It has always been very reliable too. The nursery has been really supportive to our whole family through difficult times, and I’m grateful for the care and input from all members of the team. We were sad to say goodbye to everyone. Our son was only at the nursery for a short amount of time, unfortunately. We had to move him due to a change in job location. I only have good things to say about the nursery and the staff that we encountered. Our son loved going there each morning; the staff were really responsive, and you could tell they genuinely care. I would definitely recommend!

My little girl has attended Sunshine since she was 7-months-old and has always been happy and settled from day one. The staff are very kind and a pleasure to deal with. I always feel well informed about my daughter’s day; she has transitioned so well from the baby room upwards, and this is all down to the staff’s communication with me and each other. The app is amazing and keeps me completely up to date on my daughter’s day. My child is very happy there.

My two children aged 2 and 4-years were both very happy throughout their time in this nursery. They were very well cared for by friendly, compassionate staff and always enjoyed their days. They developed socially and emotionally from their interactions in the nursery and had great fun taking part in a huge array of daily activities in the classroom, including painting, outdoor play, water play and sensory room exploration.
As a parent, I found the long queues outside of the nursery for collection and pick-ups difficult. I feel the collection/drop-off system could be better managed to allow parents some time to interact with carers and reduce unnecessary waiting, but I know my kids were very happy here, and I would have no hesitation in recommending this nursery to other parents. We are only leaving due to a change in job location.

The best teachers and managers ever. My child has been improving so much and learning how to pronounce so many words with the help of the teachers. I will definitely recommend children to come here. Best nursery. Thank you all.

The place is very well organized, with lovely, cheerful staff.

Both my girls have attended Sunshine Day Nursery since they were babies; one started at six months and the other at seven months. They settled in really quickly and are always happy to go in. The staff are very supportive, and they plan a lot of activities for the children every day. My girls have been very happy at Sunshine and continue to surprise me with how much they learn through play.
Sunshine is a nice and lovely environment for little ones. My girls have thrived there.

My son has attended Sunshine Day Nursery from the age of 1-3 and has transitioned through two rooms. All staff members that we have encountered are extremely friendly, enthusiastic, approachable and genuinely care about the children. With their care and support, my son has overcome a speech delay, and we have watched in amazement as he’s grown in confidence from a very shy boy who didn’t want to communicate or interact with his peers, to one who now comes running out at home time giggling with a huge smile on his face. As a healthcare professional myself, I cannot fault the measures that were put in place during the pandemic to safeguard the nursery, the staff worked extremely hard to still
provide an outstanding service in unprecedented times. I cannot fault Sunshine Day Nursery. Thank you.

My daughter spent six months at this nursery after her’s was unexpectedly closed. The staff were fantastic from the initial phone call to see if they had a place. Really efficient at getting paperwork to us and getting her started as quickly as possible. My daughter absolutely loves going; she adores all the staff and has had a fantastic experience all through her time there. She will really miss it when she leaves for school. Communication is excellent between parents and staff, and they have always been really friendly and helpful. Brilliant nursery.

My daughter started at the nursery at one year old, so has been through all three room stages; what a pleasure it has been sending her here. I work at the trust/hospital, so it made me feel very comfortable knowing we were both on the same site. My daughter has slight additional needs, and every single staff member has gone above and beyond to make her feel comfortable and at ease whilst being in the nursery. Her confidence has grown so much, and she absolutely adores every single worker in there. She will miss it so much, including myself, but the dreaded time has come for her to transition to big school. It has always felt like a little family at Sunshine, and it was sad to leave somewhere where my child was so comfortable and safe. Staff were always informative and friendly, and my daughter was able to grow in confidence and foster some hopefully lifelong friendships at the nursery.

My daughter joined Sunshine Day Nursery at 8 months old and has just left to go to school. She has had the best 4 years there. The whole team and management have been absolutely fantastic. They have all been so caring and loving toward her. They are also so educational and really helped my girl come out of her shell and come a long way, including speech, walking, potty training and then spending the last few months getting ready for school. They also catered to her allergies and health issues. I would not hesitate to recommend Sunshine to absolutely anyone. The manager has a fantastic team and will go above and beyond for you and your children. The whole of Sunshine has completely exceeded my expectations. Thank you so much for everything. We will miss you so much!

We have used Sunshine Day Nursery to care for our two children for nearly six years! We have nothing but praise for the staff. We have always put our children in safe hands, and they have loved going to nursery love the years. They will continue to return to the holiday club.

My 1-year-old has attended the nursery for a couple of months, and I have been so impressed with the care they’ve received. The children are given the opportunity to be involved in many activities every day, including playing outside, in the sensory room, singing, story time and various crafts. However, it’s really child-led, so they can decide whether to join in or do their own thing. The app is great to see all the things they get up to and photos, but we also get excellent verbal handovers from the staff on how each day has gone. They have been very pragmatic with illnesses and have let me know when there have been concerns to raise with a GP. The staff show a commitment to child safety, and they carefully monitor who can come into the building/pick up the children. Three particular ladies have been brilliant and developed a wonderful bond with our child. I have also interacted with many other staff (all lovely), and everyone seems passionate and enthusiastic about their work. Thank you, Sunshine team.

The nursery staff are all very friendly and welcoming. My little one is always happy to go. The menu is varied, and they take the time to plan fun activities every day. They are good at communicating with parents, and I would highly recommend them.

My son has been at Sunshine Day Nursery since he turned one, and I returned to work. I looked around a couple of other nurseries that were manic and loud, and then I visited Sunshine and couldn’t believe how calm and quiet it was. Throughout his time at nursery, he has been so looked after and has loved his teachers in every class. I’ll be so sad for him to leave and go to school this year. I really can’t recommend this nursery enough for the care they give the children and the peace of mind you have as a parent knowing your child is being so well looked after when you’re not there.

My little boy started at Sunshine Day Nursery back in January 2021 after spending the most part of his first year of life inside due to the lockdown. Obviously, this was a very delicate time for everyone and certainly for me as a first-time Mum returning to work in an unfamiliar world. The staff went above and beyond to support my son in a nursery environment and from that point he has thrived under Sunshine Day Nursery’s nurturing. My son took to the handovers really well and I felt comforted with the relationship he developed with his compassionate key workers. I had good communication via the App as well as regular ‘parents evenings’/emails and calls. My son then transitioned into the 2+ room where he has begun to develop more independence. The nursery are very accommodating with flexible days. All in all the nursery offers fantastic value for money.
My son would be going to Sunshine Day Nursery’s preschool however our family are relocating. I would definitely recommend the nursery!

My son has been at this nursery for just under a year. Due to a change in circumstances, I can no longer send him there which is very sad and unfortunate because the staff are so attentive, compassionate and nurturing.
I would defo recommend this nursery, my son has made a handful of friends. When I come to pick him up he has paint, ink and play dough on his clothes – that’s a good sign surely.

Both my son and my daughter attended Sunshine Day Nursery since they were babies. The nursery staff have been very friendly and supportive, and have developed strong bonds with both of my kids. My kids have been always very positive and happy to go to the nursery. They have also learnt a lot through games and fun activities, and I can see them very well prepared to go to school. Very good nursery. Staff are taking very good care of the kids. I feel quite safe leaving my child there; knowing that his day will be full of activities and loads of fun. Staff are always happy to assist and adapt to each kid and take very good care and individual attention.

My daughter has been coming to the nursery since November 2021 and has really enjoyed her time there. The staff are so friendly and have really helped with my daughter’s confidence and her speech. The facilities are great, with plenty of toys and activities, both inside and out. I was very nervous when it came time to send my daughter to a nursery, but she absolutely loves her days here and is always coming home happy with lots to say about her day. All the staff are lovely and can not help enough.

My son has been in three nurseries including this one and he is coming up to 3 years old. This is hands down the best nursery in the area (and we viewed them all). My mum used to inspect nurseries and so her opinion is also something that I took into account. She and I both agree that this nursery is absolutely outstanding and we hope they achieve the deserved outstanding rating at their next OFSTED inspection. The manager is incredible, he is very hands on with the children and he knows all the children’s names which is lovely. Whenever I have needed advice both the manager and the team have supported us 100%. My son is incredibly happy here and generally looks forward to going in. His learning and development has come on leaps and bounds since he started here. The staff turnover is incredibly low, many staff having worked there for decades, it’s like a little family. They cuddle the children and soothe them whenever they are feeling a bit sensitive, and I like how they manage behaviour.

My son started nursery here just after his first birthday and has remained there until he started school just before his 5th birthday. He took quite a bit of settling in but the staff were always great with him and reassured me that he was fine not long after I had left. I was always confident he was well looked after and would definitely recommend the nursery. He loved the chocolate cake so much that the person who is one of the members of staff who is responsible for food found me the exact recipe the nursery used so I could make the cake at home, although mine didn’t quite come up to scratch.
