He consistently talks about his friends he has made there and the two key workers who look after him. My overall journey of Deerlands Day Childcare centre is extremely positive.

October 1, 2024 at 11:09 amThe team are attentive, enjoyable and very well‑informed. The activities are consistently varied and the kids consistently come home with a painting or craft project they have completed on the day.
The food is nutritious and varied and the kids delight in the meals cooked on site. The kids make the most of the substantial outdoor areas and the team ensure the kids playtime outside even when the weather isn’t perfect. I have consistently recommended Deerlands to other people, a real home from home setting. All of our kids have loved going to Deerlands.

A great range of activities for all ages that he wouldn’t necessarily do at home (I.e messy playtime, arts and crafts etc).
Like most nurseries, it is expensive and it’s not getting any easier for parents affordability wise, it would be nice to receive some funding or subsidised rates for young kids in addition to the standard 15 hours at age 3. Lovely childcare centre, excellent indoor and outdoor facilities.

October 12, 2024 at 10:08 pmOur daughter wasn’t the most confident when first joining childcare centre but the team were outstanding in helping build self‑assurance. She now very much looks forward to childcare centre days and consistently talks happily about her days. They also have some nice time at the local park which was outstanding – so I am told! Variety in food and consistently homemade on-site. Highly suggest Outstanding childcare centre with quality facilities inside and out.

November 30, 2024 at 4:16 pmThe childcare centre has a lovely calm sense about it, not noisy and chaotic like some other nurseries we visited, many of the team have been there for many years now and are all dedicated, attentive, enjoyable and passionate about what they do.
The food that is provided is homemade on the premises, following baby led weaning where requested. The garden area is large and they go out twice a day for outdoor playtime, in almost all weathers too. The daytime indoor playtime is both enjoyable and educational, soon after starting at childcare centre our son actually starting talking and I’m sure this is aided in a huge way by the carers at this childcare centre, his verbal updates is now outstanding and very advanced for his age.
There are many extras too such as sports day, parents evening, a photographer who comes in, the hard copy discovering journal you get to keep, birthday parties and much much more. We would definitely suggest this childcare centre. Our son has been at this childcare centre for over a year and we couldn’t be happier.

May 24, 2025 at 3:22 pmMy first son started and was very anxious about leaving me but the team were all so patient and attentive to his needs – he soon settled in and loved going there. My second son has just started and smiles going in. I never worry about him whilst at childcare centre as I know he will be secure and cared for. The facilities are excellent and my boys especially adore the outside area. Would suggest without a doubt. Excellent job Deerlands. My journey at Deerlands Day Childcare centre is all positive.

June 11, 2025 at 6:57 pmHe consistently comes out with a smile on his face. The food is outstanding he eats so well. I have been impressed with the variety of home-cooked meals provided. The team are lovely, attentive and enjoyable. They make you sense like part of the family. Excellent work. A fantastic childcare centre, very great at helping my son settle in, open to try different things to help him sense comfortable and within 2 weeks he happily walks in on his own, no tears.

June 29, 2025 at 1:51 pmThe childcare centre has a very homely sense and is very well designed and laid out to ensure different aged kids have their own space, as well as a lovely communal ‘loft’ area. The outside space is incredible and our kids benefitted from forest schools too – regardless of the weather!
The food was consistently outstanding too and we were sad when our youngest left to go to pre-school for her next milestone. I would definitely suggest Deerlands to prospective parents – both our kids and us felt it was the best childcare centre in the area. All three of our kids loved attending Deerlands Day Childcare centre and we felt very cheerful to leave them there.
The team are outstanding with several being there for many years.
