February 20, 2018 at 12:00 amOur son has been at this nursery for over a year and we couldn’t be happier. The nursery has a lovely calm feel about it, not noisy and chaotic like some other nurseries we visited, many of the staff have been there for many years now and are all dedicated, caring, fun and passionate about what they do.
The food that is provided is homemade on the premises, following baby led weaning where requested. The garden area is large and they go out twice a day for outdoor play, in almost all weathers too. The daytime indoor play is both fun and educational, soon after starting at nursery our son actually starting talking and I’m sure this is aided in a huge way by the carers at this nursery, his verbal communication is now excellent and very advanced for his age.
There are many extras too such as sports day, parents evening, a photographer who comes in, the hard copy learning journal you get to keep, birthday parties and much much more. We would definitely recommend this nursery.

February 20, 2018 at 12:00 amLovely nursery, great indoor and outdoor facilities. My son loves his time here at Deerlands.
A good range of activities for all ages that he wouldn’t necessarily do at home (I.e messy play, arts and crafts etc).
Like most nurseries, it is expensive and it’s not getting any easier for parents affordability wise, it would be nice to receive some funding or subsidised rates for young children in addition to the standard 15 hours at age 3.

I am very happy with the level of care and learning skills provided and the number of different activities for our little boy to do. He always talks about his friends he has made there and the two key workers who look after him.

May 10, 2018 at 12:00 amAll of our children have loved going to Deerlands. The staff are caring, fun and very knowledgeable. The activities are always varied and the children always come home with a painting or craft project they have completed on the day.
The food is nutritious and varied and the children enjoy the meals cooked on site. The children make the most of the substantial outdoor areas and the staff ensure the children play outside even when the weather isn’t perfect. I have always recommended Deerlands to other people, a real home from home environment.

Our daughter wasn’t the most confident when first joining nursery but the staff were excellent in helping build confidence. She now very much looks forward to nursery days and always talks happily about her days. They also have some nice time at the local park which was excellent – so I am told! Variety in food and always homemade on-site. Highly recommend

December 17, 2020 at 12:00 amA wonderful nursery, very good at helping my son settle in, open to try different things to help him feel comfortable and within 2 weeks he happily walks in on his own, no tears. He always comes out with a smile on his face. The food is excellent he eats so well. I have been impressed with the variety of home-cooked meals provided. The staff are lovely, caring and fun. They make you feel like part of the family. Great work.

December 22, 2020 at 12:00 amMy experience at Deerlands Day Nursery is all positive. My first son started and was very anxious about leaving me but the staff were all so patient and caring to his needs – he soon settled in and loved going there. My second son has just started and smiles going in. I never worry about him whilst at nursery as I know he will be safe and cared for. The facilities are great and my boys especially love the outside area. Would recommend without a doubt. Great job Deerlands.

July 5, 2021 at 12:00 amAll three of our children loved attending Deerlands Day Nursery and we felt very happy to leave them there.
The staff are excellent with several being there for many years. The nursery has a very homely feel and is very well designed and laid out to ensure different aged children have their own space, as well as a lovely communal ‘loft’ area. The outside space is amazing and our children benefitted from forest schools too – regardless of the weather!
The food was always excellent too and we were sad when our youngest left to go to pre-school for her next milestone. I would definitely recommend Deerlands to prospective parents – both our children and us felt it was the best nursery in the area.
