My daughter comes home every day talking about the team and what she has been up to.
I would highly suggest this childcare centre. My daughter has recently started at Second Steps, and the team have been so supportive in settling her in and making sure I receive feedback about her on daily basis.

He absolutely loves it; bought him out of his shell and is really helping with his social skills.
Taking that extra time to help him be included in playtime as he’s very shy and autistic; nothing is too much for the ladies in his care, and he is absolutely besotted with them. They have really helped me and him through a difficult time earlier this year and understand how I want to parent, so he’s got the same level of parenting at home and at childcare centre. My son has been going since January 2022.

Welcoming team, great use of a updates app for parents, a wide range of activities for kids to delight in every day, rooms consistently look spotless and welcoming, there is a healthy and varied menu every week.

They are encouraged in imaginative playtime coupled with discovering opportunities eg, considering the weight of the billy goats gruff compared to the troll etc.
They are encouraged to consider the setting and do gardening and grow plants in pots, which has made my kid very enthusiastic to help her dad grow plants in our garden.
The team are all lovely, and my kid has formed close bonds with them and enthusiastically talks about them.
I was initially worried about leaving my kid to go to work, but Second Steps has put my fears to rest, and I’m glad I’m sending my kid there as she’s discovering and socialising and is a very cheerful and confident little girl with lots of friends. Each week the kids have a different themed activity usually centred around the book they are reading.

The team are approachable and welcoming, with the kid’s care being the most important concern. My little one has struggled to settle, so additional assistance has been offered, which has taken a huge weight off my mind. I have really struggled leaving my little one crying and reaching out for me on every drop-off, plus he is very emotional throughout the day. I have had terrible anxiety rushing to pick him up, so the extra assistance will hopefully calm him down. As a mum leaving my little one for the first time with non-family, the initial settle-in sessions gave me self‑assurance that he would be well cared for. Thank you, in particular, to management and the key team. As well as everyone who has given him cuddles when he’s been upset – I really appreciate it. Both management and the childcare team have been remarkable in settling my little one into attending one day a week.
