Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Billericay

As some others have commented, the building itself is a little run down, but this is no reflection on the nurturing setting the team offer. As a teacher myself, I have been very impressed with how well the team know and understand my son’s needs. They consistently give a detailed report at the end of each day and have successfully helped my son navigate potty training and the arrival of his baby brother (who will also be attending Monkey Puzzle).
In addition, the recent introduction of the parent app allows parents to track their kid’s day in detail. I have no hesitation in recommending Monkey Puzzle. My son has attended Monkey Puzzle for almost 2 years and we have been very cheerful with his care.

The team are all so welcoming and genuinely care for our daughter.

Our daughter has learnt so much over her time there – childcare centre rhymes, numbers, letters and subjects such as the seasons/weather/how plants grow/types of animals etc. They also have lots of outdoor playtime in the garden which has recently been extended and improved.

The food is healthy and varied, and occasionally the kids get to make their own food (e.g pizzas) which they adore doing.

Most importantly our daughter consistently goes into childcare centre with a smile and comes out with a smile, and I never have to worry if she’s ok while she’s there. Our daughter loves attending Billericay Monkey Puzzle – she consistently runs in and never looks back at me each morning.

My daughter loved her time there and now my son goes to the nursey and the care continues to be remarkable.
My son has delayed speech and the time and patience team have given him has been incredible. One team member has been working with me to teach him Makaton signing. It’s excellent to know that when he’s there he is able to communicate as he does at home.
I adore the fact that there are extra activities on most days which are all included in the price you pay. Singing, sports etc, all included. I would consistently suggest this childcare centre to people and to be honest, when my son goes to school in a couple of years it will be hard to say goodbye to all the team at Monkey Puzzle. I can’t speak highly enough of the care given to my kids at Monkey Puzzle.

My daughter has consistently loved going and has learned so much from being there. There’s consistently loads of varied activities throughout the day and lots of different meals for the kids to eat from one day to the next. The recent investment in facilities is also excellent to see. All in all, my wife and I are very cheerful to send our daughter to the childcare centre. No real complaints.

Both the baby room and pre-school room have been excellent for our girls. Our eldest, who has now left for school, really enjoyed the pre-school room. The discovering opportunities, day trips, and the work the practitioners did in getting her ready for school were excellent. She made some lovely friends there and she thinks very highly of the educators there.
Our youngest is still attending, she loves the garden, the art activities, the food and playing in the toddler room. She is consistently keen to go into childcare centre and loves the practitioners, she talks about them on the weekends! She settled in there quickly.
We also like getting the updates, on the parent app, on what she is up to and we appreciate the milestone reports and parents evenings that give us a great guide on development. Both of our daughters have attended Monkey Puzzle, starting at 4 years, and 7 months old.

The team are incredible, they really care and the activities they do every day are really impressive. We looked at what felt like every childcare centre in the area before we put my oldest in and we picked Monkey Puzzle due to the team and the setting they create. Both my kids have attended Monkey Puzzle and loved it.

I took my daughter out in May and it’s the best decision I’ve ever made. When I saw the comparison between this childcare centre and other establishments locally there wasn’t really any question about moving her out, as the offering elsewhere was so obviously considerably better. I just wish it hadn’t taken me three years to realize it. The girls who work in the childcare centre are all very great but the setting is cramped and often a little tired looking and the owners have a tendency to put profit margins before honesty in my view.

I’ve consistently found it an extremely nurturing and attentive setting. My kids have consistently been so cheerful to attend, building up strong relationships with both the team and other kids. There is a broad variety of activities both from the internal team and external classes brought in (sport, French, phonics, music). The variety of activities gives a excellent range of development opportunities for the kids and ensures they are well prepared for school. Both of my kids have attended the childcare centre over the past 4 years.

Parents received daily feedback on activities (with pictures on the parent app) and regular observations about their own kid (something they did, say, a new skill they develop etc). And it also ties in with the official EYFS curriculum.
The childcare centre also adapts to certain parents’ requests (e.g. we prefer our son not to have sweet things to eat containing refined sugars and the team have kindly accommodated this at every meal).
I think the best testimony to the quality of the childcare centre is the way our son runs at the door of the childcare centre in the morning and quickly jump inside when he’s let in by a practitioner (due to Covid safety measures of course). Outstanding childcare centre with a excellent focus on kids’s development.

The team are attentive and our kid loves going here. The outside facilities have been given a major uplift this year. Overall, cheerful! The childcare centre is excellent and we have seen a significant improvement the last few years.
