Bright Horizons Fulbourn Day Nursery and Preschool

Bright Horizons Fulbourn Day Nursery and Preschool recently received the rating of “outstanding” from Ofsted. Obviously this is an amazing bit of news for a parent to read, and I agree with every word in the report. My wife and I are so happy that our daughter goes there. Our little one has learnt so much in her time there and is developing with the help of the amazing team at the nursery. To a person, the team there are all attentive, professional and full of respect for their charges as well as their colleagues. The team is genuinely loving, warm and caring. They know the individual quirks of all the kids. They are family away from home and I couldn’t recommend this place more highly.

Our eldest daughter did her pre-school year at Bright Horizons Fulbourn, and our youngest daughter was there from aged 9-months right up to starting school. They both had a wonderful experience at Fulbourn, and I highly recommend it. The nursery is very well run under the solid leadership of the nursery manager, and the longevity of the staff there is a testament to the working environment that has been created. It is warm and welcoming but with good processes and procedures that help to make everyone feel relaxed and safe. The grounds are lovely, private and safe and is tucked at the end of the park makes it a peaceful place for the children to learn and play.

We love the Bright Horizons chain, and our older child attended only the Bright Horizons nurseries. We didn’t consider anything else for our younger one because we know that the chain has very high standards in all aspects.
We think the nursery adapted very well to the Covid-19 situation, and we feel that our kid is as safe as possible. Now that we can’t enter the nursery and talk to carers in person, it’s very important that they provide us with short reports for the kids on a daily basis and email communications on a weekly basis. We also have regular phone calls from our kid’s key person with the updates on how he is progressing.
We love how much time is devoted to creative and educational activities. We get our kid’s drawings and collages and always admire them.

I would highly recommend Bright Horizons Fulbourn Day Nursery and Preschool! My son has been attending the nursery since June 2020 and despite all the challenges that Covid 19 has posed, the staff members have been extremely friendly and helpful! I like the type of activities that they organise to help the children to learn and thrive, eg they teach them independence, creativity, love for nature and of course numeracy and literacy! I admire the innovative approach adopted by the nursery in nurturing these skills in such an engaging and fun way for the little ones! They are also very responsive to demands by parents and always extremely helpful in providing feedback on the child’s development. This is very valued as it helps both – parents and nursery team – to work together to support the child. In light of the highly dedicated team and engaging curriculum that the nursery offers, I would highly recommend it to other parents!

The staff is amazing. They do care about the children and their development. They keep you up to date and they are always reachable if you have questions or concerns, even during this challenging time.

My daughter has been going to Bright Horizons Fulbourn Day Nursery and Preschool since she was ten months old, she’s two years and two months now. She goes there very happily and I can focus on my work knowing that she’s in safe hands, enjoying herself and learning. The staff give us regular updates on what our daughter has been up to. It’s also great that the staff respect the children as individuals.

My daughter has been going here for the past two years. I can see clearly that she likes it there because at pick up times in the morning she runs happily towards her carer! I am also impressed by the way the nursery handled everything during the pandemic and kept us as safe as possible.

My son started at the nursery in September 2021 and is now fully settled and really enjoys it. The staff really put my mind at ease when I was dropping him off for the first time and regularly kept me updated to reassure me he was doing ok. The staff really care about the children. The food and facilities are excellent and there are great activities for the children. The app has been a great recent addition.

Both of our kids started at Fulbourn, Bright Horizons when they were 9 months old and left after preschool at the age of 4 years old, having attended for 4 days a week. We’re very happy with the nursery, there are so many lovely people working there. The carers love children, monitor each child’s development, record it and update the parents about it regularly. They now use an online platform to update us daily about what the children’s been up to all day. We found that the preschool prepared them for school very well. They hold a graduation ceremony for preschool-leavers each year to celebrate the children’s achievements and the friendships that were formed and to say goodbye to each other. It was beautiful and very moving this year thanks to the hard work of three members of staff in particular. We cannot praise the management team, the baby room, the toddler room and the preschool team highly enough, for everything they’ve done for our children in the past six years.

We currently have two of our three children at Bright Horizons Fulbourn, with our eldest having left last August for school. All three have loved their experience there to date. The staff are incredibly caring, kind and fun and their behaviour management is superb. They know the children so well and cater to them as individuals. They always do engaging activities with the children and their preparation for school is fantastic. We always recommend the nursery to friends. It’s brilliant, we couldn’t have asked for more from them.
