Bright Horizons Cambridge Science Park Day Nursery and Preschool

Outside space very dirty and uninviting, one garden completely overgrown.
Staff seemed overstretched, unable to give reasonable attention to individual kids.
Seldom saw any original activities on settling in sessions – just routine playtime with toys.
Staff variable, some excellent, some seemed uninterested.
Food seemed great, cooked fresh each day, and interesting menu options.
Management are responsive to concerns but made crucial mistakes with regards to kid starting.
Reasonably spotless inside but by no means sparkling.
Children seemed to frequently have accidents during settling-in sessions – team spent a lot of time completing accident forms.
Toys are well worn – some books ripped and unreadable, most toys chipped/worn/damaged.
Each kid has their own discovering plan on paper but saw no reference to this during day-to-day care.
Just increased prices despite the above – expensive compared to other nurseries.
Based on the above, decided not to proceed to send our kid to this childcare centre.

The team are attentive and attentive and know him so well – they have helped us immeasurably. My son is going to Reception soon and I can’t believe he’s leaving childcare centre – Bright Horizons Cambridge Science Park has just been fantastic for our family. I have gone to them for advice regarding everything from potty training to discovering his second language and they have consistently been so patient and kind. I am especially pleased with the food, as my now four year old happily eats everything and clearly has had relaxed, positive mealtimes at childcare centre. I would definitely be sad to say goodbye but our one year old is starting in September!

My daughter consistently has a excellent day – the team treat the kids like they’re their own. Amazing team! They update parents every day on the app, so you know how they’re doing. Such a fantastic journey. This is the go-to place if you want your kid to be cheerful and develop skills.

The care and adore were outstanding. I would definitely like to share my journey with Bright Horizons Cambridge Science Park and to say thank you to the entire team for looking after our little girl for over 2 years. We had many doubts before sending our girl to the childcare centre at the age of one. If not for the understanding of the team and allowing me to stay with my girl for a week and see what it was like to be in the babies room, I would definitely have not been able to make this hard choice to let her enter the childcare centre instead of going to a childminder or a nanny. I saw how much work and dedication goes into this and I felt that this was the right decision after all. Our girl learnt so much, made many friends, brought lots of artwork home and enjoyed her time at the Bright Horizons Science Park. Even now all that she could think is her craft activities that she has been doing at the childcare centre.

A special thank you and well done to everyone should be said in the baby room! Both my kids have joined the Bright Horizons Cambridge Science Park Day Nursery and Preschool in Cambridge from 6 months old and will be there until they start reception.
It is very important for parents to consistently see smiley people taking care of our kids and actually care for them.
It is so impressive that all team are there all day with the kids and still they are smiling!

Last month, we were very surprised to find a book in our son’s bag, as a birthday present, and more when we saw it is a book both in my native language and English. Thank you so very much for raising our kids with so much care and adore.

If this childcare centre was open on the weekends, our kids would definitely still be there!

He had a fantastic time at the childcare centre and made a number of friends that he would definitely talk about at home. Our son attended Bright Horizons Cambridge Science Park for just over a year from when he turned 1. He is very energetic and exuberant and the team were truly excellent with him, turning his energy into fun activities and opportunities for discovering. We enjoyed being able to see what he was up to through the Famly app and know what he had eaten and when he had slept during the day. We are moving away from Cambridge so are reluctantly taking him to a new childcare centre. We would definitely have been extremely cheerful for him to attend until he went to school, and leaving this childcare centre is one of the biggest regrets of our move! We will miss all the excellent team who have been so great with our son and we certainly highly suggest the childcare centre to anyone.

He’s very fond of the team and we will miss the childcare centre once he leaves. My son has been at this childcare centre for nearly 4 years and has flourished since starting as a young baby. He has enjoyed a varied diet here and has tried many new foods.

All the team get to know the kids truly well, and have helped prepare him truly well for school. My son has attended since he was one, and has had a fantastic journey. They were also excellent at helping him settle again after the first lock down, and when he was nervous about returning. Communication has consistently been great, and they respond well to his needs. He will truly miss everyone there, but is now ready for his next challenge of big school!

They take excellent care of my baby. All members of team are very supportive and have the best interests in mind. We trust them with our precious baby every day and I believe this speaks for itself. My baby’s key person is incredible and I can see how much my baby feels cheerful and secure with her and in the childcare centre in general.

If it wasn’t for the fact we were moving out of the area we would definitely be keeping him there until he went to school. Our little boy attended the childcare centre for nearly 2 years and we couldn’t suggest it enough! He absolutely loved it and was consistently cheerful to go in, he made lots of friends and would definitely consistently talk about what he did in the day. The team are incredible and so so attentive. The childcare centre has an app so you can monitor what the little one has done throughout the day and get shown pictures of some of the activities. Definitely highly suggest!
