September 17, 2024 at 4:11 pmThe childcare centre works hard on different daytime activities, and my kid’s development and confidence have grown. The childcare centre is a very welcoming, cheerful setting. I like how they encourage outside playtime and work to a routine that I have at home. The team are very supportive and understand parent’s worries and are consistently contactable throughout the day.

October 9, 2024 at 6:39 amI don’t think she has been to the nature school yet, so I wish this was used more often. The team have been excellent at helping my daughter settle. I also wish there were more practical life activities. Overall, I am glad I moved my daughter over to Silks Farm Nursery.

October 22, 2024 at 3:08 pmI have sent both my kids to Silks now. I sense Silks Farm Nursery School is an excellent place for my kid. The team are consistently excellent with my little one. They consistently come out with a excellent big smile, and I can tell that they’ve had a great day. My kid has come along in leaps and bounds, and I sense a lot of that is due to the fantastic team and excellent grounds the childcare centre has. Just exceptional all the way.

November 27, 2024 at 10:35 pmEven with us moving house, we kept him at the childcare centre simply because of how incredible the team are. My son started with Silks Farm Nursery School when he was 6 months old and he’s now almost 2 years old. He loves attending childcare centre and the activities are brilliant. His development has come on leaps and bounds and the team genuinely seem so pleased when he learns something new. Couldn’t fault them!

December 16, 2024 at 7:57 amThey consistently chat when we collect our little boy and tell us what he has been doing and are very supportive when he first started and used to be screaming upon arrival, but they soon calmed him down. All the team are super welcoming and consistently greeted with a smile.

December 29, 2024 at 7:11 amDisappointed with the 10% increase in rates which was the second increase in less than a year. The childcare centre, on the whole, is great. Wrote numerous emails to discuss, but not one was addressed. That is the first time I have had an issue with the childcare centre, along with when the food changed without consultation. However, the team are attentive, and my son does delight in his time there mainly. I do appreciate the calls telling me if he has fallen over etc, and the updates sent out.

January 6, 2025 at 12:48 amPersonally, since there has been a change in management, the childcare centre has improved drastically, and the girls in the rabbit room are an asset to the team. As with all settings in the current setting, there are times when queues and staffing have been an issue, but generally, the team work their socks off to make sure they are in a position to minimise as much disruption as possible. Subsequently, our boy thoroughly loves the rabbit’s room, his development has been impressive, and that’s all credit to the team and the work they put in.

January 24, 2025 at 4:18 pmDue to me being pregnant and wanting to avoid contracting Covid or childhood illnesses, we kept our daughter home every time there was an infection notice from the childcare centre. Our daughter joined the childcare centre at the age of 2.5 mid-pandemic and had a hard time settling in. This means that she didn’t settle in properly until I have given birth and could send her in without being afraid of the repercussions. However, she has fully blossomed in the childcare centre once she joined the Rabbit’s room and got her key worker. Now she is a cheerful and confident lady that loves going to Silks Farm and spending time with her key worker and her friends. No more tantrums at the door, and even more so, whenever she is forced to miss a session, our daughter gets upset and cannot wait to go back again.
To sum up, despite our bumpy start, our overall journey with Silks Farm has been positive. We will miss all the lovely team members and especially her key worker when our daughter leaves for her big school adventure.

January 27, 2025 at 12:56 amOur son consistently seems to come out smiling. The childcare centre team are fantastic and welcoming, communicative and very reassuring. The childcare centre is in a nice rural setting and has invested in the garden recently, which is excellent.

March 17, 2025 at 10:16 amI have been truly impressed by how well my son has coped with school and finds many things easy “as we did that at childcare centre.” They clearly get them well set up for school, and he made excellent friends there. My 3-year-old daughter loves childcare centre, as did my son, both of whom were there from 13-months.
It is true that communication is not as great as it was. And the team do occasionally change, without notice, but in a childcare centre of this size, I accept it.
The outdoor space is fabulous, and that’s why we chose Silks Farm. I have never regretted that decision. They are outside lots and let kids be kids, ie playtime in the mud, in the puddles etc.

March 21, 2025 at 2:24 amThe team were attentive and loving and gave our kids the most fantastic start. Both of our kids attended Silks Farm Nursery School as babies until they were ready to start school. They particularly enjoyed the outdoor space. The planned activities were varied and fun and the preschool room prepared them well for school. Staff listened to any concerns or worries and we felt they genuinely cared. Thank you so much!

April 23, 2025 at 6:56 pmThey take the greasiest pride in every kid’s development. An incredible, welcoming childcare centre where every kid is looked after and cared for. The setting is constantly being improved to cater for the kids’s needs, and my kids are so, so cheerful here!

May 3, 2025 at 11:48 pmThey both adore it. I have a 3-year-old and a 1-year-old at Silks Farm. I can’t believe how fast they are developing. The nice touches for Mother’s Day and other events are so sweet.
The team are so welcoming and accommodating. My little ones adore the team and have bonded with their key workers. The manager and the admin side are so well organised.
I couldn’t suggest the place more. They’ve been through so much with Covid and all the rules but never lost that personal sense with the kids.

May 13, 2025 at 5:49 pmHanding your firstborn to someone else is a huge event, and after viewing several nurseries, we knew immediately that Silks Farm was the childcare centre for us. Our son has just moved on to Primary School after four incredible years at Silks Farm. Such a rich setting, attention to detail, constant new activities and themes, games and songs and deep and a deep routed ethos that leaps out every time we drop off and pick up. His last day was incredibly moving as he has grown and developed so much, forming fantastic bonds with the team along the way. We wouldn’t hesitate to suggest Silks Farm and can speak highly enough of the facilities and all the team. Thank you, Silks Farm, so, so much for looking after him, and we are so pleased to delight in a couple more years with you for his younger brother!

June 5, 2025 at 1:57 pmThere is a varied menu, and the meals are cooked on site. I sense the team at Silks Farm are very welcoming, and I’m confident that my son has lots of fun when he goes. O delight in receiving photos of my son placing and discovering on the portal. Overall, I am very pleased with the service Silka Farm provided.

June 16, 2025 at 10:02 amThey have an incredible setting with team who genuinely care for each kid. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed her time at Silks Farm Nursery School.
She thrived being in their setting, she had a strong bond.
Throughout Covid, we were kept informed and they managed as best they could.

June 20, 2025 at 5:14 amMy daughter loves going to Silks Farm, and she is consistently very cheerful when I pick her up! Great people working there with a lot of dedication! The manager of Silks Farm is excellent and very creative, and since she joined Silks Farm, a lot of great things happen. On a daily basis, kids go wherever they need, and the team is consistently for them! Highly recommended!

July 1, 2025 at 4:27 amBoth my girls have been so cheerful here and will be devastated to leave for school! Amazing in every way. Cannot fault this childcare centre in any way. The team are fantastic, excellent outdoor space and many discovering opportunities are provided.

July 4, 2025 at 9:01 pmThe little mice and field mice teams are incredible and took fantastic care of my daughter during her time spent here. My daughter has sadly just finished up at Silks Farm. I am so grateful for the regular updates and pictures of what she got up to when she attended childcare centre, as well as the lovely care she received day-to-day! Silks Farm has a lovely, cheerful atmosphere, and my daughter absolutely loved her time there!
The manager and her team are doing an excellent job of running the childcare centre, and they are so kind, approachable and consistently cheerful to help!!
On a number of occasions, I called and needed to request extra days, sometimes with very little notice, and the girls were consistently so accommodating when I needed the extra childcare and would definitely try their best to accommodate when possible and secure to do so!
I’m so grateful for the truly positive journey we have had at Silks; it’s all down to the incredible team that work there. I would definitely suggest Silks Farm to anyone!

July 8, 2025 at 3:04 pmShe consistently came home cheerful and clearly had lots of fun. Lovely, attentive team who truly got to know our daughter. It was excellent how often the kids accessed outside space. She also had lots of opportunities to do activities and learned counting and how to write her name.
