Sunhill Day Nursery Fen Drayton

Great place, great staff. My child has progressed really well since he started at the nursery. I couldn’t be happier.

I think that Fen Drayton is a brilliant nursery and I think that all the girls are brilliant with the children and are a good team. I am very happy with how my little man is coming along.

Although we live 25 miles away, we chose to place our boy here from September 2019 one full day a week as its location is just a mile away from where I worked. Even though just one month later I switched jobs, my son immediately loved it here so we chose to keep sending him. It’s a lovely old building with lots of character and not at all clinical like most chain nurseries. The staff are absolutely amazing; particularly the staff for making sure our son’s development is carefully logged and shared with his local pre-school which he also attends. Even attending Fen Drayton just one day a week he has learnt and developed so much and literally runs to the car every Friday morning full of excitement to be going to ‘daddy work nursery’, and at pick-up, he’s smiling and happy and excited to share what he’d done during the day. Every week during lockdown he would ask if ‘people are better yet?’ hopeful of being able to return. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Both my son’s have attended the nursery over the years. Both boys have always loved attending and always ask when they are next going to be at nursery. My eldest so joined the nursery at eighteen months old and his development excelled over his time here and they helped us get some extra help our son needed. My youngest was six months when he started, they have helped him develop so well that he is now advanced in some areas and the activities he does, he loves. Both boys had strong bonds with not only their key workers but all staff at the nursery. The nursery uses an app, its nice to see what my son is up to during his day whilst I work.

Being a “lockdown baby”, our daughter hadn’t socialised much before starting nursery. It has made such a great difference. She is more confident around people and new places. She also learns new things every day at the nursery. She loves going there and is always smiley and chatty when she leaves.

All the staff are really helpful and give us great feedback on terms of how our daughter is getting on. She seems to love it there, which is a reflection of the great staff they have there. The food she eats is freshly made and healthy, and the amount of activities they do keep her busy.

Our children have been going here since 2018, and both absolutely love it. The staff are great and foster a really warm, caring environment where the children seem to thrive. Activities are really varied, with lots of outdoor time and also really flexible and accommodating with helping our children have the chance to celebrate festivals like Chinese New Year. We’d definitely recommend it to others.

The nursery has grown in the 6-years I have been using it with my two girls. However, you still get the friendly face and family atmosphere from its smaller beginnings, and my daughter comes home and tells me all about the exciting activities they do each day. The food is also excellent, and she often has seconds!

I’m really happy with Sunhill Day Nursery. My little boy finds nursery drop-offs difficult; however, the ladies are always there to comfort him and help him settle. I love receiving regular updates on the app about the day’s activities and seeing photos. I also love that the nursery offers home-cooked meals for the children, which is great, as it means they get to try a variety of foods and new flavours. Overall, I think that the nursery is a very happy place for the children to be, and its home-from-home setting provides the children with a really safe space to learn and grow.

Our daughter is very happy at this small and friendly nursery, having been attending for nearly two years. She enjoys the home-cooked food and looks forward to seeing her friends and staff each day.
