Children 1st @ Newark

We have recently moved our baby and toddler here and are very happy with the care that they are given whilst at nursery. They come home clean, dry, well fed and, most importantly happy. We love reading the daily diaries to see what they have been up to – both in terms of learning and in terms of their care during the day (meals/sleeps/changes)! The staff are lovely and friendly and obviously care deeply about the children that they look after. The nursery itself is set in fantastic grounds with lots of space and provision outdoors for learning and exploration, as well as beautiful, newly-refurbished rooms indoors with lots of lovely equipment for the children to use in their play.

Such a lovely nursery with lovely staff that really care for the children! My daughter loves it there, from 9 months to now 3 years old, she has come such a long way, not only with her learning but her eating too! I would recommend it to anyone! Really lovely nursery, my daughter has been going for about nine months now and she loves it so much! Staff are so friendly and helpful and will always help out if we need extra days. So pleased I picked this nursery!

We have been really delighted with the care from all the staff at Children 1st @ Newark. They have really strived to help our little boy to feel at home and settled since he began in January. It’s never easy leaving your little one with others but all of the staff have put us at ease and communicated brilliantly throughout.

My son has attended this nursery since he was a baby and I would never send him anywhere else. Me and my partner viewed every nursery in our area and this was the only one that not only ticked all the boxes but also exceeded expectations. Right from the get go we were greeted by lovely staff who took so much interest in our son and his needs were always met. My son tries new healthy meals which he thoroughly enjoys. He plays all day without realising he is learning so much. He has made some lovely friends who are taught values such as caring, kindness, sharing, taking turns etc. The only thing I can say is it was the most expensive nursery in the area but I firmly believe you get what you pay for here and every penny is worth it. Going back to work after maternity leave was very hard as I had to trust someone to look after my child the same as I would, but you instantly feel at ease. This is the best place to get your child ready for school. I recommend it to any new parent!

My daughter absolutely loves her two days at nursery! She gets excited when I tell her she’s going that day. I love it when I collect her and watch her playing, unaware that I’m there. As she is always having so much fun and doesn’t stop telling me about her day on the way home. I also love how this nursery feels like a family, and no matter who your child’s key worker is, you get feedback and comments from a variety of staff members about little things, which goes a long way with me. I always feel very included in all goings on, and we only attend twice a week. I highly recommend this nursery.

From our first visit, I knew this was the nursery for us! Every single member of staff cares about their job and the children. They are kind and attentive to all our child’s needs and they know him as well as we do as his parents.
Dropping him off feels like leaving him with family. He loves being there!
The facilities are amazing, the outdoor space is what initially attracted us to Children 1st @ Newark and we have not been disappointed!

My Daughter has attended the nursery since January 2021 and has adored attending nursery through her time there (asks to go on days off). My son has recently started in the baby room and the transition into a regular pattern was super flexible and supported by the staff. Baby room staff are friendly, confident and brilliantly caring towards all the babes. I always knew my son would be left in capable hands but it’s been a really amazing process and drop offs are really smooth. Books are still used in Baby room which I like to be kept up with what the baby has been up to. 10/10 from this family. Keep up the good work!

Both my sons currently attend Children 1st Newark and I often refer to the nursery as our extended family. If you are looking for a nursery in Newark that has great facilities, professional processes and fantastic outdoor space but that still manages to maintain a close-knit, family feel for the children then this is your nursery. The baby room is exceptional with the recent refurbishment and the staff are so caring, they’ve helped guide my youngest through major milestones and he’s so obviously happy there. In the early years, my son plays outside, climbing, digging, and being super imaginative and somehow they manage to fit learning in too. His school have commented on his educational level already and so much of that is down to this setting. Also, allergy parents- please accept my recommendation. My youngest, in particular, started with a complex and long list of allergies, we’ve had no slip-ups and they’ve bent over backwards to work with us to ensure they’re safe and fed well.
