October 29, 2015 at 12:00 amMy daughter has been with this nursery since she was 13 months old when I returned to work part time. She is now approaching 2 and a half and has progressed through the “baby room”, “toddlers” and is preparing to go to pre school next month. Countryside has been key in her development into a confident, articulate and wonderful little character- the staff there really knew her and encouraged her learning. The settling in period at the beginning is invaluable for any parent returning to work and Countryside were highly supportive when I moved to work and helped feel at ease with the transition.

October 29, 2015 at 12:00 amMy daughter started at William Street Day Nursery in May 2015 and has settled in well. The nursery offered a home visit, followed by settling in sessions so the transition was good. The staff are friendly and caring and provide a very thorough handover at the end of the day. The nursery manages my daughter’s cows milk allergy really well providing a dairy free diet for her. Staff turnover seems quite high- 2 out of the 3 baby room staff have left since we started but perhaps that is to be expected.

November 9, 2018 at 12:00 amVery big rooms to enable children to have lots of space to explore. They are always doing different and varied activities whilst incorporating learning through play.
Updated regularly through an app of what they have been doing throughout the day with lots of videos, pictures and observations to see.
My little boy always comes home covered in paint and messy play ingredients which is a very good sign of a good productive and happy day!
Staff always are there to listen and help in any way they can and adapt to how your child is feeling and in need of that day. Food is varied and plentiful.

November 9, 2018 at 12:00 amMy Daughter joined William Street Nursery in 2016. The staff is friendly and go the extra mile to get the children settled in. We are very happy with the facilities and the support provided to the children for their development. Would highly recommend them to friends and family.

My son is in the baby room and he bounces up and down with excitement when we arrive at door of the nursery to buzz in, so that will tell you how happy and settled he is there. I feel he is well looked after, he is free to explore and get involved in a wide range of activities during the day and he eats well.

November 12, 2018 at 12:00 amMy daughter has been in William Street since she was one. She is happy in the nursery, and I am impressed with the amount of learning she acquires. The nursery is well staffed, the space in play areas is big, and the food is well balanced. My daughter likes the nursery and even misses it when we are on holiday. Preschool learning is great and provides a good transition from the nursery to reception.

November 14, 2018 at 12:00 amMy daughter has been going to William Street Nursery for 4 months and is very happy there. The staff are very friendly and go above and beyond to ensure the babies and children are happy. The baby room is large and very well equipped, even having a dedicated sleep room complete with cots and blackout blinds so that the babies can get quality naps in during the day (we didn’t see such good facilities in any other nurseries we looked around). The nursery also has a very thorough settling in plan to ease the babies (and parents!) in without overwhelming them which made the process so much easier for us. My daughter has come on leaps and bounds since starting at William Street!

He is excited to go to nursery every day and calls the carers his friends.
He has a number of challenges with multiple allergies and skin sensitivities and the nursery have been really adaptive to fully support and care for him. It’s been such a relief to know that he’s in safe and caring hands.

January 13, 2023 at 12:00 amMy child has been going to William Street Nursery for just under a year. They have had a change of management in the last six months and credit to the manager and her team, they have really turned the nursery around. They have created new rooms with suitable activities for different age ranges, they regularly update you with your child’s development. Since the changes have happened my child’s development has been supported by the carers and he is exceeding in most areas for his age. The food they serve the children is all fresh and prepared on-site by their in-house chef and they regularly change this to suit the children or if something isn’t working. They also are able to get the children involved by making things like homemade pizza and baking cakes etc. and they have a great connection with the local library where they do rhyme time and encourage the children to read books. Well done to everyone at William Street.

January 20, 2023 at 12:00 amMy daughter has been going to William Street Nursery for four months now.
She is very happy on our way to the nursery in the mornings. I have noticed a good improvement in her confidence participating in all the activities and with her English and communication skills.
They have a good curriculum and key person system implemented that it really works. I think it is a safe and reliable place to take my daughter to.
The staff are very professional, well trained and caring. They always keep you updated on what is going on during the day on their app.
The setting has everything to cover her basic needs even fresh food cooked by their own cook. They have a menu for three weeks which I see very varied, healthy and children focused. The activities are stimulating for her age and take my child’s preferences and likes into account while focusing on her development and skills improvement. They have a big terrace at the back of the building where they go everyday to do physical activities.

January 23, 2023 at 12:00 amWe have sent both our children to this nursery, under the old management and new. Each time our child(ren) have flourished and enjoyed and one currently enjoying their time here.
Seeing them progress in the early years and starting to build a foundation to be ready for school is so important, and we feel it’s being achieved here.
There is also a rooftop garden which is safe, I should add. But it allows outside play. And the children are taken on outings too, to learn skills out and about around the town. The staff are so incredibly friendly and each child has a key worker and second key worker who lead in their development. We’re not having a third child, but if we did, we wouldn’t think twice about sending them here. I should add I also suffer with M.E. and the team really do help us out with extra sessions should we require them.

February 6, 2023 at 12:00 amMy daughter is nearly eighteen months old and has attended William Street from around six months old. The staff in the baby room are brilliant and she is happy and excited to attend nursery each day. The dedication of the staff to organising daily activities is incredible, there is always something new and a wide variety inside and away from nursery, including trips to the library, park or river to feed the ducks. The attention to care and safety is excellent and the management are organised with weekly parent briefings. Staff are always pleased and have time to chat about the children’s day on pick up. The app is useful for staying in touch and seeing what’s going on throughout the day. It is a great nursery.
