- You will be able to support room staff in their roles and maintain positive working partnerships with the team, parents, carers and outside agencies

- You will promote a high standard of quality within the nursery including practice, environment and resources to meet the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage

- You are a strong communicator with both adults and children

Essentials

- Minimum full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification

- Safeguarding knowledge

- At least 2 years experience working as a nursery practitioner or similar

- Background in working in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage

- Experience of working and communicating with parents and carers

When I started, I needed a lot of support with all of the policies, went on lots of training and found many opportunities within the setting to help me progress. When I became a Level 3 it had taught me so much which allowed me to put this into place with my day to day practise.

An Early Years career requires you to work hard and you need to look at the more difficult days as a learning curve. Make the most out of the children’s days by teaching them everything you can. Always go in with a positive mind set and enjoy every moment because you will have so much fun.
