The Sunflower Children's Centre

My grandson has been attending Sunflower children’s nursery for a few months. He is very well settled and absolutely loves it. As my only grandson, it is always a worry leaving him away from the family but I can honestly say it is the best thing ever for him. As a lockdown baby, he hadn’t really mixed with others so was a worry but he is really enjoying his time spent with other children. The staff are brilliant with him and keep us updated throughout each day with pictures, messages, meals etc so you can see how he is doing throughout the day. My daughter and I viewed three nurseries and I have to say this one stood out straight away and has proved to be the right choice. My grandson has really come on since joining and he loves the daily activities. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this nursery, it is excellent. Well done team Sunflower.

Wish I knew about this nursery sooner. My son attended another nursery from 6 months old and after covid, we changed to Sunflower and it was the best decision! He has come on leaps and bounds, has so much confidence and knowledge and actually loves going! Also from a parent’s point of view, everything is super straightforward and thorough. You receive so many updates throughout the day via the app, which I love and have never had before. Couldn’t say a bad word if I’m honest! My second child will definitely be attending here!

Great nursery, my middle child was here for four years and knew my youngest would also be going as the nursery is so well ran. Lovely staff, both the girls were/are happy here. Wouldn’t have had them go anywhere else!

My youngest daughter attends this nursery and has done since being 11 months old. My oldest attended too just before starting school and absolutely loved it! My daughter who still attends loves the place just as much and gets upset when it’s not a nursery day. The staff are like a family and go above and beyond. My daughter absolutely loves the food too which is always lovely home cooked meals. She also gets to pick her own snack morning and afternoon. They have a forest school now and it’s amazing. I always look forward to the pictures on Daily Connect of what she gets up to. She also enjoys sports and yoga with the girls. My daughter will be sad to leave for school.

My little one really struggled to begin with, but his confidence has grown massively.
Staff are amazing, very welcoming and always on hand to help with any issues or questions. I feel very happy knowing he’s going to be safe and well looked after at Sunflower. Keep up the good work – very grateful for all the hard work that you do!

The best nursery you will ever find, the staff are amazing! My child has been there for getting on for three years now from such a young age, its the best decision I have, no regrets I’ll be very sad when he leaves for school.

My daughter has attended The Sunflower Children’s Centre since she was 9 months old where she settled into the Seedling room with a lovely team of staff who ensured she was well supported during transition, was really well cared for and had lots of fun throughout the day. She has recently moved from Buds to Petals and she is so happy and thriving within her learning and development, she really enjoys her time at Sunflower the staff are like our extended family. I love the updates I receive during the day too.

I can’t begin to express my gratitude to all of the staff at Sunflower Nursery for their support with my children.
Since they first joined over a year ago, the service has been nothing short of exceptional.
My eldest has additional needs and requires the input of several healthcare professionals, all of which The Sunflower Nursery kindly accommodate. As an example, through guidance of her physio team, the Sunflower staff have taken on board her exercise programme and work through this each day she attends. I’ve already seen huge improvements in her overall strength and posture and I believe she wouldn’t be where she is now without their ongoing help.
I’ve seen my children hitting their milestones, grow in confidence, friendships made. They’re doing so well and it’s all down to the staff, activities and services they offer. They enjoy it so much, they don’t want to leave!

My child who has additional needs, poor mobility and feeding requirements started this nursery in January 2023, I was extremely anxious due to having had a bad experience at a previous nursery. Wow, I am so glad I choose this nursery. They go above and beyond for every single child, tailor to their needs, the input and care they give my child is just outstanding. Communication on a day to day basis regarding my childs nappy’s, feeding, mood, nap times, activity’s is fed back to me. Inclusion at this nursery is up there with one of the best, they have trained to feed my child so he’s able to attend, had time with myself to learn a lot more about my child and their conditions and they even practice his physio exercises with him throughout the day. SENDco is fantastic, she really knows what she’s talking about which is SO refreshing, is really approachable and understanding, which makes a huge difference as a nervous and anxious mummy. Thankful and grateful for you all at The Sunflower Children’s Centre!

My son really thrives at The Sunflower Children’s Centre. The team are well informed and supports us with any challenges we’re facing. Activities are fun and changed regularly to engage the children. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the children’s development. Overall, really pleased with the care provided.
