Rossall Nursery

My son started nursery at Rossall at 10 months. As a first-time mum, I was really anxious about him starting especially at the age he was. The staff however are wonderful and we were quickly reassured by them. My son settled well. Rossall is set in wonderful grounds which the nursery takes full advantage of, providing the children with a very full and diverse experience to support learning and development. The team consistently support growth and development and work very individually with the children. We have loved watching our son grow and develop. A special mention goes to my son’s keyworker. I was instantly made to feel comfortable by her and her ongoing support with my son is fabulous. All staff however are absolute shining stars
My son does have dietary and medication needs which the team fully support without any difficulty.

Wonderful Nursery. Our children have come on fantastically. The children started from <1yr old in the baby room and have moved on to the next room for toddlers. They have really nurtured the children focusing on skills and abilities.

As first-time parents, we were anxious to leave our 11-month-old. From the first visit to Rossall Nursery, we found the staff to be so kind and welcoming – we knew straight away it was the right choice for us.
The Sanderling baby room staff have been so attentive to our son and really helped him settle in. We would 100% recommend the nursery to any new parents.

All the teachers are so caring, genuine and welcoming. The facilities are fabulous. My child learns so much at preschool and comes home with fantastic memories! I have complete confidence leaving my little one there and know that on his next day off, he will always ask why he can’t go into preschool!

Our son started at Rossall nursery when he was 1 year old, he has now been there for 12 months and absolutely loves it. The staff are all wonderful, kind, caring and so friendly. Parents are kept up to date regarding your child’s progress each week and are sent lots of photos of the daily activities. The children are regularly taken out into the grounds of Rossall school to explore, which our son loves. We are so pleased we chose Rossall nursery and feel so comfortable leaving him each week knowing he has so much fun in a very safe learning environment.

My daughter has attended Rossall Nursery for nearly a year and a half, she loved her time in the baby room, and I cried as much as her when she went into the next room – there was no need to cry because the staff in her new room have also been amazing. She runs into the nursery because she loves her time there, and the key worker has made her moving rooms so easy, she talks about her while at home, so I know she really enjoys her time there. I couldn’t recommend Rossall Nursery anymore; it has been amazing for her, and her speech, learning and confidence have come on so much since going there. If you have any worries, just go and meet the staff and see the nursery and I’m sure you will love it as much as we do. When we have been to an open day, the headmaster was so lovely and even said hello to our little girl, which I thought was really lovely that he knew her name out of all the children that must go there. The Nursery Manager is also always so lovely and takes the time to come and chat with us.

The staff at Rossall baby room have been amazing! Their enthusiasm and passion for their jobs is fantastic and makes us feel great about sending our 9 month old baby girl there twice a week. The communication and reporting is detailed and consistent and allows us to easily share with other family and friends. The facilities, both indoor and outdoor are varied and challenging for all age ranges as well as the nursery grounds allowing for long, safe walks and discovery time.
We are beyond happy with the nursery and especially the staff!

Rossall Nursery is a fantastic setting for our 14 month old, he loves going there and jumps over to the staff each morning and is in a wonderful mood when picking him up in the evening.
They have so many great activities even for the young children, such as messy play, various nursery rhymes and actions, outdoor walks and activities in the grounds of Rossall, daily story time, various games aim at child-specific development areas.
We love getting frequent updates on an ongoing basis about what they’re getting up to each week and every few months being provided an insight into the development areas that are being addressed and new ones they’re working on along with how we can help at home.
The range of food provided is outstanding, healthy and focussed on developing their recommended intake, limiting sugar intake and always seems to be enjoyed. Great help was provided whilst our son was weaning.

We couldn’t be more happy with our son’s first months at Rossal nursery. We didn’t have any doubt that it was the place for us following our first visit. The staff are extremely professional and consistently provide stimulating activities for the children, from messy play and walks around the grounds and beach, to wellness days. We also regularly have craft items brought home to put on the fridge. The team keep us updated with daily reports and frequent pictures through the nursery app, which also allows for easy communication with them. The head of prep school and nursery is extremely hands-on and a regular visitor. He has a very forward-thinking vision that includes giving the children a very broad experience across a range of fields and you can see this translates through the different levels of the school itself. We personally like that the nursery is attached to the school to help support that future transition. The balance of structure and exploratory freedom is perfect for this age.

The best start to any child’s education here at Rossall Nursery. I have had two children at Rossall Nursery; both have been extremely well cared for and educated well. Rossall Nursery is a lovely space for children to grow and prepare for school.
