Bright Horizons Milford Day Nursery and Preschool

Our son has been at the nursery for almost seven months now and we are really pleased that we have chosen Bright Horizons Milford Day Nursery and Preschool as his nursery. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, I wasn’t able to attend his stay and play sessions with him and I was worried how he would settle. However, there was no need to worry. The staff in the baby room are fantastic and have shown nothing but care towards my son and to us as new parents. He really enjoys his time at nursery and goes in and comes out with a smile on his face. The staff are always available on the phone if we need them and we have also had a parent consultation via a video call with our son’s key worker. Thank you to all the staff for working so hard, especially during these challenging times.

Our child has been attending the nursery since he was 8 months old and we couldn’t have asked for a better place for him to develop, learn and socialise with such caring and personable staff. Deciding on a nursery during the pandemic was never going to be an easy task but myself and my husband knew straight away that this was the right place for him. Safety of children, parents and staff is paramount and we feel that communication has been excellent during these times. We both know when dropping him off that he will have the best time in an environment that is stimulating and enables choice. We are very grateful to all of the staff for their excellent care. The new app which has launched allows us to be kept up to date with the little details throughout the day and we feel it is working really well.

Excellent nursery. The staff are so kind and caring and nothing is too much trouble.
We’re kept updated via an app on how her day is going, so it’s easy to see if she’s eating/sleeping well, and photos of her playing etc are posted regularly.
Nursery times are good too. It’s a cost for the day (7am – 6pm) rather than by the hour, so whilst I aim to pick my little girl up at 5pm, if I’m busy at work /running late I know it will be fine and I don’t have to rush (up until 6pm).

Our daughter has attended Milford Day Nursery full time for 8 months now and in that time we have been nothing but thrilled with the service provided. The staff are so very welcoming and compassionate, and truly seem to care for the children. Nothing is ever too much trouble. Our daughter gets so excited to go to nursery each and every day, she genuinely loves her time there. The app allows us to see if she has been eating/sleeping well and we are regularly provided with photographs of the wide range of activities she has partaken in. We are regularly updated with how our daughter is progressing in terms of her development plan and have been amazed at the skills she has developed so far during her time at Milford. Each week we notice she is doing something new, often something learnt at nursery. Overall, we cannot thank the staff enough. It was daunting sending our child to nursery full time, but seeing how happy and content she is has made it far easier. Thank you!

Our daughter has loved being at this toddler group, the staff are friendly and professional. My daughter has come on leaps and bounds since being in toddler 2! I can’t recommend it enough…my daughter has always enjoyed entering the building to greet her carer and I think this speaks volumes, they regularly check in to ask for input on what your child is learning at home. Thank you.

Overall experience since my son started nursery 18months ago is outstanding. All staff members work hard and are great with all the children. Even though with lockdown and strict rules of not being able to go in the setting, the nursery have done their best to keep everybody safe and keep us as parents calm and relaxed, to still drop our children off at the door. The staff worked well with my boy whilst he was under speech and language and within a short time, he was learning new words and coming home saying his friends, staff names and now tells us what he does at nursery. It makes us feel like he is having a great, exciting time. Sometimes the handover at the door can be a bit too long especially whilst waiting in the queue for my child, but overall a great nursery and at least my child is happy and making progress in his development.

Absolutely fantastic staff, thank you for everything you do for my children! From the food they eat to the activities they participate in every day, the service we receive is absolutely world-class and I would happily recommend the nursery to everyone.

My daughter has just started at Milford, and she is loving every minute. The setting in sessions were so helpful not only for her to get used to the staff and setting, but for me to get used to not being with her. The food has been amazing, and the cook worked with me to ensure my daughter’s requirements have been met; such was always a big worry for me. All the staff are so friendly and welcoming, and nothing seems to be too much, which has been so reassuring.
The app has also been so helpful in reassuring me during the day with if she has slept or eaten, and the staff log her development on there weekly too. It’s so nice getting photos while I work.
There is no price for knowing my daughter is happy, safe and growing up with people that really care.

The staff are always friendly and welcoming. My daughter looks forward to going and is coming on really well. The food is well varied and she gets to try different things that I wouldn’t necessarily give her. She has a good relationship with staff and I feel happy when she is there.

Bright Horizons provides excellent care to my child. They were really helpful and accommodating when we relocated to the area. They provide regular updates about my child’s development and activities and are always quick to communicate.
