Job Description

We are recruiting for an experienced Administratorto join our lovely Nursery based in Deptford. Our nursery caters for up to 115 children daily and is currently rated as Good by Ofsted. We are in a purpose-built Nursery, all on 1 level with a lovely garden suitable for all weathers. The role would be based in the office and 20% in the room. The working pattern is full time (across 4 or 5 days) however part time may be considered. There is local free parking and great public transport links (buses and trains).

As a Nursery Administrator your role will include;

1. Sets up systems for accurate reporting and monitoring in all business and financial administration matters.

2. Ensures the Nursery Management Software database system is accurate.

3. Takes responsibility for ensuring the accuracy of the Suggested Fees Log.

4. Ensures enquiries are responded to and recorded on the Enquiries Form.

5. Takes responsibility for the collation and writing of Parent and Staff Friday Feedback newsletters, adhering to relevant GDPR consents.

6. Takes responsibility for ensuring GDPR consents for parents and staff are accurate and up to date.

7. Completes Friday Assurances.

8. Takes responsibility for the accurate submission of Local Authority funding estimates and headcounts, ensuring deadlines are adhered to and parents are provided with all necessary information/paperwork to facilitate this.

9. Takes joint responsibility for safeguarding and child protection within Nursery.

10. Liaises with all parents, suppliers, external visitors and the Local Authority.

11. Takes joint responsibility for dealing with complaints or concerns raised by parents.

12. Takes joint responsibility for marketing the Nursery appropriately including notifying the Marketing Manager of any updates required to the Nursery website or other websites where the Nursery appears.

13. Ensures the Safer Recruitment Process is adhered to and is responsible for recruiting, inducting and training staff (in conjunction with the Nursery Manager).

14. Orders food, supplies, consumables and equipment to ensure the effective operation of the Nursery, working with the Nursery Manager to ensure budgets are adhered to.

15. Completes the monthly payroll spreadsheet adhering to the cut-off date – ensures correct reporting of sickness and holidays.

16. Provides cover in the rooms, when required.
