The Little School Daycare are looking for a qualified Third In charge/Room Leader to join their team.

The Little School Daycare, offers a warm and nurturing environment where children aged 3 months to 5 years can start their nursery journey. We have two separate buildings which are spacious and inviting, and both of our buildings are located on Boston Park Road. At The Little School Daycare we are committed to ensuring that children are happy, confident and well cared for so that they are more likely to progress and development into confident learners.

Children learn through play and we seek to provide them with physical resources and the emotional support to enable them to fulfil the foundation stage of the curriculum.We are lucky enough to have large garden areas where children have plenty of opportunities to be active outdoors. Our outside play areas provide an exciting learning environment and encourage children to use their imaginations and have fun. We have an established team of experienced practitioners creating enabling environments and activities to ensure every child achieves their full potential.

We promote parent partnerships and provide daily updates and photos about your child’s routine and activities. We have our own car park to ensure the safe drop off and pick up of children.

As a Nursery Third in Charge, you will:

- Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development.
- Enhance the all-around daily needs of children, including their physical, intellectual, social and emotional development.
- Assist staff in updating the EyLog system and their child learning journals with the highest quality.
- Promote respect and credibility for this position by leading as a role model with impartiality and consistency.
- Assist with embedding an effective key person approach to enable children to form secure attachments and identify training or development needs for staff.
- Maintain accurate records and accounts relating to children and staff on EyMan system and on file.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent and visitor at all times.
- Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met.

As a Nursery Third in Charge, you will need:

- Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification - Essential.
- Over 1 year’s experience working in Early Years - Essential.
- Sound knowledge of Ofsted expectations to achieve a Good or Outstanding rating - Desirable.
- Knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - Essential.
- Fluent in written and spoken English - Essential.
