CherryIsland Nursery

Very friendly, great atmosphere for the children. Plenty of activities indoors and outdoors. She always comes home happy! She is so happy that she doesn’t want to come home after her sessions, which shows she is very settled.

I am more than happy with my child’s development in all areas since joining CherryIsland Nursery. He has come a long way in his learning and seems more bubbly each day. He enjoys telling me all the new things he has learnt and all the staff have a lovely relationship with my son.

Cherry Island is a safe and enriching environment with positive, bubbly and nurturing staff. Since joining the nursery she has developed a huge amount of confidence and assertion. She freely expresses herself and reflects the kindness, compassion, and curiosity that are at the heart of the nursery’s values. The nursery works very hard to integrate the children into the on-site junior school by offering several transitional visits prior to school starting. They also make curriculum-focused work fun and engaging. My daughter often came home singing the phonics songs before she had even started learning them in her year group.
A highlight of the nursery is the beautiful sensory-focused nap room, although when children are older, there is also a lovely cosy corner where they can snuggle up if feeling tired. I have only good things to say about this nursery and my daughter and I will be sad to leave when school starts!

My little boy has settled into the baby room really well, he now walks in and doesn’t look back. He is always greeted with a friendly smile and a warm cuddle to welcome him into the nursery. He enjoys the variety of activities on offer such as cooking, crafts, sensory play and the outside space. We really enjoy reading the daily feedback about what he has been up to. Thank you to the staff for helping him to enjoy nursery life!

My daughter started here at 12 months old in the baby room. She was not happy at first but with the persistence and caring nature of the staff who work here she now loves her nursery days and happily walks in and waves goodbye.

My son had always been happy and well catered for at Cherry Island Nursery. The staff are all attentive and caring and give him that little extra support he needs some mornings when he doesn’t want to leave me. He comes home each day telling me about all the fun activities he’s done alongside his learning. The app used by the nursery is always kept up to date and gives me a great insight into his day so I know he’s safe and well. Before this nursery, he was at another and both have given me the confidence and reassurance to be able to work and leave him knowing he’s being well looked after. I couldn’t recommend them enough.

I couldn’t be happier with CherryIsland Nursery. The staff are very kind and caring and my daughter talks happily about her time there. She has an excellent variety of learning opportunities and has grown in confidence! I always feel comfortable and at ease leaving her in the safe hands of the super staff. I would definitely recommend.

We are so happy with the care that our little boy receives at CherryIsland Nursery. The staff are so caring and always encouraging. They are keen to develop the children. We always get a detailed and truthful update at the end of the day.

CherryIsland Nursery, hands down have been the best nursery. The girls have gone above and beyond to cater to my little boys needs, he has recently had a cochlear implant operation and the team have been so thoughtful and caring, ringing to check up on him and us to ask if, everything went ok. They have been a great support and continue to do so and all are keen to learn how his equipment works and support him in his next journey. I could not thank them all enough and hats off to his key worker she really is the best.

My children love Cherryisland Nursery. The play is varied and interesting, I love the effort the team make with my children. One of my favourite things is how they are greeted in the morning; without fail they are welcomed so nicely by a staff member, who is excited to see my kids. They only attend one day a week and I think this approach has been so effective in making them feel welcome and settled. All the team have made a great effort getting to know my children and as a result my eldest just adores everyone there. There is great communication both in person and via email. I’d recommend this nursery to anyone.
