Little Garden The Old Windsor Day Nursery & Pre-School (Formerly Poppies Old Windsor)

Many of them live locally and are always pleased to say hello and have a chat if we bump into them outside of working hours. The rooms are spotless with a good range of equipment and the garden is a lovely space which they all seem to enjoy. Both our little ones have been to Old Windsor Day Nursery and we had no hesitation in enrolling our little one after our son’s journey. The personnel are caring and attentive and communicate consistently and well with us as parents. The food is extremely good and has recently been better with the addition of a new chef who seems truly adept at getting the youngsters to try a wide range of options which has helped us immensely spans their horizons at home as well.

Our little boy joined The Old Windsor early‑years hub in April this year. Highly recommended! He has settled in brilliantly thanks to all the crew and he absolutely treasures his mornings at early‑years hub. All the team at the early‑years hub make transitions and changes gradual and stress-free. I am so glad we chose this early‑years hub, we will be downhearted when he has to leave to start school, but we can’t thank the team enough for giving him such a great start to his absorbing and educational journey. He also recently moved up to the older class with no problems at all.

At any time we feel we can approach the team and they will help in any way they can. The team have been so wonderful and welcoming. I cannot speak wholeheartedly enough of Poppies Day Nursery Old Windsor. We are extremely grateful to have found this gem of a early‑years hub. Our little one has been hit and miss with food lately and all the team have been so reassuring and the wonderful onsite chef has made extra provisions to ensure he is fed. Each member of crew we have met has always taken the time to answer any questions or concerns we may have. Our boy is pleased to go in and delighted when he comes out and I’m not sure we could ask for much else.

We have only just left Poppies as my girl started school. They always had a great time, always came home thrilled to be with their mentors and friends. Thanks to all at Poppies, you are all incredible! Never had any problem or worries. My girl still asks to go back to childcare centre. I always felt that I could go to work and focus on my job, knowing that they were cared for and thrilled. Poppies Day Nursery Old Windsor is an remarkable nursery setting. I had my girls there for 5 years.

I also have a 2-year-old little one who joins the childcare centre and me and my partner were both exceptionally anxious when she started as we were still in lockdown. She has come on so well in the previous year with her speech and has not long moved rooms and the crew were remarkable with the transition and the correspondence is excellent from all the team We are thrilled that we chose this nursery setting. He was also so delighted going into the early‑years hub in the mornings. I have been super impressed with the Old Windsor day childcare centre since my little boy started there in 2017 at 8 months old, he is now at school and was enrolled at the childcare centre for 4 years the personnel really helped him settle into the nursery setting quickly and the change that me and my partner saw in him was incredible! We were unsure how she would be but she really impressed us and took to the personnel so quickly and settled in well. He became more sociable and you could definitely notice a massive change in his progress. The crew are so cordial and really do support you and guide you.

The crew are all so caring and my young lady comes home absorbing lots of things! We have recommended friends that are also joining soon. With the take over from Family First this hasn’t changed a thing with the support and education that my girl receives. I am so pleased we found this early‑years hub for our little one. In fact, it has come for the better as the childcare centre has a new ICT hub and lots of new toys.

Our young lad has been warmly welcomed to the Nursery and every effort has been made to give him the additional help he needs in his growth. I would strongly endorse this wonderful Nursery in Old Windsor.

Overall, the childcare centre is a really loving and caring setting which is exactly where you want you youngster to be. They even used his sticker reward chart I had created. His transition throughout early‑years hub has been easy and he has grown and learnt so much whilst being there. He gets on so well with all of the team and his friends in his room. My little one has been there for nearly 3 years and absolutely adores it. I was amazed when he came home telling me all the planets he had been discovering all about, something I wasn’t expecting him to be discovering about but amazed at the knowledge he had retained and enjoyment he had discovering about it. If there is ever a concern the team are really approachable and deal with it truly quickly. The Old Windsor early‑years hub is a fantastic enviroment for youngsters to grow and absorb. In particular, potty training took us a while to get through but they were all really patient despite multiple accidents.

The only one small concern I have is previously they used to give out daily sheets with a food log and now everything is on an app. Apart from this, the early‑years hub is absolutely fantastic! The app is a great idea and is easy to use, however, it does not clearly state what she has eaten throughout the day. I am really pleased I chose this childcare centre for my little one, it was wholeheartedly recommended by several people and I have also recommended it further to friends and family. The personnel are absolutely wonderful and truly helpful. Children can be extremely fussy eaters so with the actual food log it would help me create new and different dishes. The manual sheets were more in-depth and they helped with understanding her likes and dislikes too. I have been really pleased with The Old Windsor Day Nursery, they have really helped my young lady boost her confidence and turn her into the little madam that she is. She really enjoys her days there and talks about them in such excitement.

Their approach is personalised as they make efforts to understand your baby’s individual needs which for me was really important. Thank you and well done to the Old Windsor Day Nursery team! I’ve cherished receiving the daily summaries and updates via the app which give me sparks of joy and also makes me feel like we’re working well as a team. The crew are assured and so natural with the babies that it really puts you at ease. My little girl started at The Old Windsor Day Nursery almost a month ago in the baby nest group. I must say the transition has been incredibly smooth and I really take my hat off to the team as playing a critical role in making the period what it’s been so far.
