From the moment they started attending at the ages of 3.8 and 1.2, our little ones settled in quickly. One aspect that truly sets the childcare centre apart is the dedication of its team. The practitioners go above and beyond to organise interesting and engaging activities for the kids on a daily basis, which fosters their skill development and sparks their interests. Our son has developed a deep bond with his carers and looks forward to going to the childcare centre every morning with pure enthusiasm. Our daughter has made remarkable development, including discovering English over a short period. Thank you, Smithfield Nursery, for being an exceptional place for our kids to learn, grow, and flourish. We couldn’t be happier with our decision to enrol our kids at Smithfield House Children’s Nursery.

Both started in the baby room when they were 6-months-old.

It is a very welcoming and cheerful place which both my kids delight in. The balance between playtime and development is great. They have four different age group rooms which means the activities for each room are tailored to the developmental age of the kids.

The space is large, particularly for central London and because there is no outside space at the childcare centre, the kids go for walks most days and delight in the local parks, museums, libraries and sights of London.

We are very cheerful with the care and development our kids receive and would suggest the childcare centre. We have been using Smithfield House Nursery for 3 years and currently have two kids there full-time.

The carers are not only supremely qualified, but every one of them treats our daughter with the same amount of adore and attention she is used to at home; it’s no wonder she is consistently in such a excellent mood when we drop her off and pick her up. The setting is consistently so calm, pleasant and familial, and our daughter’s days are kept so busy and diversified. I 100% suggest it! Our 20-month-old daughter has been attending Smithfield House for a year now, and we could not be more satisfied with the care she’s received.

Everyone is so attentive and inviting, that it feels like he is being taken care of by family. The atmosphere in the childcare centre is really cosy and nurturing and the team have so many enjoyable ideas for the baby’s activities. The administration is stellar – everything is done exactly right and the responsiveness is immediate. We couldn’t have asked for more! Smithfield House Childrens Nursery is our baby’s second home.

She has absolutely flourished there. She is soon going to leave to start school and I couldn’t have wished for a better foundation for her in the early years than Smithfield House. She loves it there, and the team really do go above and beyond for the kids. They have remarkable outings to different parks, the library, St Pauls, the museum and it’s reassuring knowing she is nearby to my work. We all sense Smithfield House is a real ‘home from home.’ My daughter has been at Smithfield House since starting in the baby room.

So accommodating and attentive childcare centre. My daughter settled in so well with the help of remarkable team. An absolutely delightful childcare centre, full of enjoyable, life and colour. Brilliant, welcoming and committed team. Lots of engaging activities for the kids. Thoroughly suggest it! My daughter was there for almost a year, and I’ve nothing but praise for them.

She adores her key workers and all the team and is really cheerful here.
The range of activities is comprehensive and enjoyable. It’s clearly a very well managed childcare centre with enthusiasm and attention to detail in childcare coming from passionate leadership at the top, which echoes right down to attentive and engaging attention to the kids in the childcare centre rooms.
A excellent and stimulating place for babies and toddlers alike! My daughter has been at Smithfield House for over 6-months now and loves it!

Our criteria were very simple – central location close to our home and a place where every kid would receive personal attention since our son did not speak any English at that time.
Smithfield House Children’s Nursery with its incredible team and management offered all this as well as attention and care from day one. Our son has been having lots of enjoyable playing inside and outside the childcare centre in the parks of London City over the past ten months. He has also been developing his English and other skills that are crucial at his pre-school age.
I would definitely suggest our Nursery as a place where your kid is secure and keeps growing in all aspects of this word. I am grateful to our fantastic educators at Smithfield House Children’s Nursery for their care and adore. We started looking for a new childcare centre for our 3-year-old son almost a year ago when we had to relocate to London.

This place was his second home! The management are fantastic! The carers took great care of the kids and were consistently communicating with parents. The location is perfect for parents working in the City. It is by far the best childcare centre in the area! My kid spent over 2.5yrs at this childcare centre before starting school.

It is very reassuring as a first time parent to trust that your kid is secure, cheerful and in great hands. Wonderful, private run childcare centre in the heart of the city.
Our daughter loved all of her carers in the baby room and learned and grew so much during her time at Smithfield’s childcare centre.

It is such a fantastic place, with the kindest and most loving team in every position. He did not speak any English upon arrival but found it very easy to communicate from the first day and learned a lot of English throughout the year. The food was consistently great, variety of things to do and a lot of creative playing with colours, shapes, drawings etc. For people working or studying in central London, the location is perfect and the facilities were consistently spotless and up to the highest hygienic standards. Communication with team was flawless and they took such great care of our son. My almost 4-year-old son spent a year at Smithfield House while his parents were studying in London.

Our daughter settled in, in a couple of days and was quickly requesting to go to school, which didn’t happen with the nurseries she attended previously. She made her first friends there. Also, seemed to appreciate the daily outings organized by the childcare centre. Many thanks to the team for the journey.

My twins look forward to seeing their carers again after the weekend and have developed so much since attending the childcare centre. We get regular updates and are kept fully informed as to their development, which is reassuring. Lovely atmosphere and excellent team.

Being a first-time mum and worrying about the Covid situation, I was obviously very anxious. From my first conversation with the childcare centre, I was immediately put at ease. When I visited the childcare centre, I found the team to be engaging (although I was not yet an attending parent) and interested not only in my son but in me as a parent. I was shown the whole childcare centre, and any/all questions that I had were answered immediately. This added to my self‑assurance. I adore the app used by the childcare centre; it is so user welcoming, and I adore seeing the posts of what my son is doing throughout the day. I know what he has eaten, when he has slept and that I can message his key-worker directly, and they consistently come back to me in a timely manner. I know my son’s emotional needs, as well as his discovering needs, are being met, and I am so cheerful with his development. Best decision ever! I joined Smithfield House Children’s Nursery at the beginning of 2022 as I was returning to work after having my son during the pandemic.

    Because of their exceptional team.
I went to visit with my son so I could see whether he would be cheerful being there every day and he started chatted happily to a member of team and asked to stay longer to playtime once the visit is over. And this doesn’t normally happen so I knew hand on heart that my son will be cheerful there and that he will be well looked after. Call it a sixth sense or a gut instinct but I knew it will be a excellent place for him to be.
And I was right, he settled in and was happily sharing what he did during the day even telling me which book he was reading during his time at childcare centre and he knew the name of his little friends in less than a week. The team really pay attention to the kids and their individual and collective needs. I had trust and faith in them and they did not disappoint.
I can truly suggest the childcare centre to any parents looking for a place for their kids.
My only regret was that my son didn’t start there sooner. Why did I register my son at Smithfield House Nursery?

All of the ladies at the childcare centre are very attentive. Our daughter loves all of the creative messy plays that the ladies make for them and really enjoys the trips outside to the local library. I couldn’t suggest the manager and the team anymore. They really helped make it easy for me to get back to work. Our daughter has made many friends at childcare centre and has developed so much since being there! Our daughter joined the team at eight months old and soon settled in quickly, thanks to the incredible team in the baby room!

She has come on so well in her almost one year there. All the team are so welcoming and hardworking, and it means a lot to me to know my daughter spends her day around adults who show her and the kids around her adore and attention. My daughter joined the childcare centre at 15 months have had little interaction with many other babies and adults.

In that short time, however, he thrived and was brilliantly looked after by all team members. He made a number of friends and I do hope he will be able to see them again soon. From the initial visit, I knew that this was the place for him to thrive in, with outstanding space allocation, resources, and facilities. The team genuinely cared about his interests and engaged with his adore of dinosaurs. Information and updates was impeccable. I speak for both myself and my son’s mother when I say I wish we had put him into Smithfield earlier. He will be starting school in September and his short time with Smithfield has given him a great bedrock for his next step. I wish the childcare centre all the best and hope it moves from strength to strength, it is much deserved for all involved. My son started with Smithfield in February and was, sadly, only there for a month and a half due to the Coronavirus situation.

Staff show a genuine affection for the kids and a real concern for their wellbeing. Our one-year-old had a really enjoyable time there. The price is relatively reasonable given its convenient location in the heart of the city. I’d definitely suggest it. This is the friendliest childcare centre either of my kids has attended (out of about five over the years!).

She has enjoyable-filled days and is consistently excited to attend, and almost doesn’t want to leave at the end of each day. The team are very welcoming and attentive, and the updates is outstanding! I have had the journey of my daughter attending another childcare centre and can safely say this place is well run and would suggest it to all family and friends. My daughter loves her time in the childcare centre.
